So I went with a heavy mech list with very little anti armor. Since I'm fighting Chaos Daemons and some horde alot lately I figured I would gear my list towards them for the most part. Any comments or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

The guardians were just filler points. Not really sure what I want to put in there in place of them but 170 points could do alot. Any ideas? I went nuts with the scatter lasers bc of the large amount of shots coming from the war walker spam and since daemons all have inv saves its pointless to really worry about a weapons AP.

Not bad.
But you need a mobile force vs. Chaos Daemons.
Keep the three DA units in Serpents.
Drop those Guardians as they are unprotected.
War Walkers are exposed and vulnerable to Daemons.
I'd go for a fully mech theme.
One Farseer with doom is enough. Two are more a liability.

If your list tailoring against them then this is almost the prefect list.
You may want to drop a farseer for an Autach, and replace the guardians packs with either GJBs or More Serpents with min DA. The Autach will allow you to start fully in reserve with far less piecemealing yourself. If you get to go 2nd and start all in reserve you'll throw demons a serious curveball.

The Autarch is only useful if you plan to keep the army in reserve.
But this is really not necessary vs. Daemons.
The Autarch is more a liability as she's too weak in cc.
I'd replace the Autarch and the GJB's by a squad of Fire Dragons mounted in a Serpent.

Are you on crack? Staying in researve vs a DS list is fantastic. You can't be ambushed and you know their location before you move to strike.

I really wouldn't consider taking fire dragons unless you know you are facing multiple soul grinders.
The war walkers are perfect for fighting demons. 24 str6 shots from each squadron will absolutly take down demon princes or greater demons.
Reserving your army is definatly key. That's why taking the Autarch is useful. The demon player has to deep strike half his force on turn one and then you will be able to pick where to fight it.
The guardian squads really need to go. Replace themwith something mobile like GJBs or a viper or two.

Lol.
Why would mech Eldar army stay in reserve against deep striking Daemons.
Daemons have no weapons to harm Serpents from far.

Any farseer taking two psychic powers and spirit stones should also take runes of witnessing. Running the math, it really does make a big difference.
Two small units of bikes can work very well on objective missions, a cannon does give them some firepower for KP missions.....but: two thirds of the missions will be objective based, and you do NOT want to stop and shhot with the bikes in most objective missions. The bikes are far more valuable as a threat to grab a game winning objective than they are with any amount of firing. So yes a cannon makes them more useful a third of the time; just dont get cocky and shoot with them in the other two thirds of the games.
War walkers can do very well against demon armies. But what is your plan if your opponent drop a couple soul grinders onto the table? Trying to get str6 shots at their rear armor isnt an entirely realistic plan....

Why does my eldar army run three fire prisms? Because the rules wont let me use four in (regular 40k). |
