I've been wanting to cut holes out of wood for things like displays and terrain. Any recommendations?

I have a Grizzly Industries G7942 5 Speed baby drill press, it works good for what I use it for. I think I paid $90 for it. I also have a larer one of theirs to.

You won't go wrong with a Grizzly. If it's really only for the occasional hobby project and you want to save some money, I'm sure you can find something cheaper from Harbor Freight. You get what you pay for, but sometimes cheap is good enough. For small scale and lightweight work, good bits are going to make more of a difference than a good drill press.

If you already have a dremel, the dremel drill press works well for light stuff that only needs bits a dremel can handle.

Can I suggest skipping forward 10 years to the age where you don't really care about what people say on the internet. Studies show that it decreases your anger about life in general by 37%. - Flashman |
