Note that the Chappy can't re-roll wounds unless he has a lightning claw. He doesn't get the benefits of other people's weapons.
I'm sure you already know that, but your question was worded strangely so I'm just clarifying.

That's what I thought he was saying at first, too, but it looks like he means that the unit the Chaplain joined can re-roll both, not the Chaplain himself. Which is correct and very nasty.

There's a HQ choice called "Chaplain" that will work as the OP hopes. A little man with too big shoes, a funny walking style and no sound can't do anything for Terminators.

It is mean...I am doing the same thing with Dante, an honour guard with lightning claws, with an attached reclusiarch (HQ chappy). The honor guard has an apothecary, so they will furious charge and feel no pain. Of course with dante's guys getting hit and run it is devastating.

...except Black Templars doesn't even need a chaplain to do that, and you'd probably be better off with the Chaplain leading something else...

For thirteen years I had a dog with fur the darkest black. For thirteen years he was my friend, oh how I want him back. |

I run the chaplain for the fearless. Having the rock in your army break and get escorted off is a recipe for sad face.
