I have been recently looking into the awesome forgeworld Grey Knight Land Raider Redeemer and I am wondering exactly how much of the original model remains after removing the side sponsons. It isn't exactly the clear in the picture provided by forgeworld:

Do the flamestorm incinerator sponsons lay on top of the plastic cover for the side sponson or is it entirely replaced with a resin item (is the item covering the front most hole plastic like the original redeemer kit or resin?). If someone were able to post a clear image or accurately describe exactly how much of the original plastic LR Redeemer kit is removed it would be greatly appreciated

By th looks of that picure it seems you just get a landraider and the resin coponents which would mean that they are solid resin as the old website had other picutures showing the back and they have totally redesigned the fueltanks as well.

They give you the full GW kit and the resin parts - they have no reason to clip the parts off of the sprues. They'll probably give you a standard Land Raider kit, though, and not a Crusader/Redeemer.

Why would that be? They cost the same.

all these answers sorta bypass the question...

Yes they do give you a plastic LR Redeemer/Crusader kit as well as the resin side sponsons and twin linked psycannons BUT:

Regarding the side sponsons, the plastic base of the sponson that usually covers the front side hatch in the regular GW LR Crusader/Redeemer kit (where the side sponson goes) is this plastic or is it resin in the case of the FW Grey Knight LR Redeemer upgrade kit? Is it replaced with a resin component or does it remain the original plastic?

I would bet money on that being plastic, along with the other sponson components. I assume you're hoping to be able to magnetise the sponsons - to my eye (99% certain) you'll need to acquire a complete replacement sponson to do so. Note that the front of the flamestorm's axle is actually the back of the plastic one on the sprue pic. The chance of shrinkage with resin would mean they'd avoid using it for any moving parts whereever possible.

I was assuming the FW kit came out before the plastic Redeemer came out.
