Hello all,

I just got my hands on a set of 6 Goff Rockers. These guys are great! I assembled these and I am going to be using these in a game of Apoc shortly.

This game of Apoc is fairly liberal re: rules that can be used. In particular, if you are bringing older models, you are allowed to use older rules with them (assuming no newer rules exist). Are there rules out there for the Goff Rockers?

Failing that, I can use the "counts-as" rule to use them as Nobs with "Star" Power Weapons or something (zap people with STAR POWER from their electric guitars) or I can make up some rules for them assuming they are fair.

So I am looking for ideas on what to do with these guys. They won't likely be used in "regular" 40K ever, so I figured might as well show them off in a game of Apocalypse. Share your inspirations!

You could use rules like the blastmaster, doom siren and the vibro cannon for them, that would fit them neat. Names could be like Deff Metal Blasta, Screamophon' or simply Rocka. You could grab some inspiration from Guitar hero, too...

Get a Looted Tank, model a stage on it, and then have it so that they do two things.
1. Inspire all nearby orks, making them move 2 extra inches in all phases.
2. Unleash rock upon your enemies, and watch as they are all unable to withstand the hits. Anything within 12" that isn't orkish takes d6 hits per model, at S6 AP-,.
However, if they attack Noise Marines or things with sound-based weapons, then they have a rock duel. This can be resolved two ways, either through taking multiple LD tests at LD10 until one fails, or by doing a duel on Guitar Hero, or rock band.

A simple thing that could be used in regular 40K is to treat them as a Waagh banner. +1WS to the unit with them. Then keep them at the back, and use the same not involved in play rule an ammo squig would have. When the nob/roadie they are associated with is killed they leave to get some beers.

Another alternative could be to use them as a counts as for a warboss. Keep them in tight base-to-base contact and just pick a boss. Old Zagstruk could be a good alternative. You could even use removing the Goth Rockers one by one to represent loss of wounds.

I've got a set as well, so I'd be really interested to see what people come up with. I've got mine of 25mm bases at the moment, but I'm think they'd be better all together on a well done 60mm.

Inside that little light in your refridgerator

Use them with nob profiles, and the following rules:

Faymus - the Goff rokkers must be deployed onto a stage of some kind, and cannot move from the stage (they can move around it) and cannot assault.

Can't stop da rock - Goff rockers have a 5+ inv save.

Deff metal - Rokkers do not use conventional weapons, they rokk out. In the shooting phase you may draw a straight line from the goff rokkers, any unit (friend or foe) caught in the line takes 2d6 strength 6 hits, with no cover or inv saves, armour saves may be taken as normal. Add a d6 to the number of hits for every rokker over the original 3.

Turn it up to eleven - When charged, the Goff Rokkers must make a single attack at initiative 6, with a strength of 8, using the large blast template.

NICE!

For my game, I settled on using these as Burna Boyz - with Nob Stats. For a future game, I may try out some of these great ideas as well.

This.
With A backdrop. With curtains. and a stage microphone. And a drummer on an elevated platform in the middle to the back.
It'd be like a sick, rad, awesome sick float in the ork parade
