Subject: Multiwound and dangerous terrain?

Since the dangerous terrain test is taken on a "per model" basis what happens if multiwound models from the same unit and with the same equipment fail multiple tests, does each model that took a wound loose a wound or does normal wound allocation apply?

Like you said each model that fails a test takes a wound. there is no allocation. you roll for each model separate. some people like to roll for unlike models only to speed things up and in most cases this is fine.
But if you think it will matter. like only 1 model is in range to assault a target unit then you should roll separate for that model as well.
Also you should roll for that multi wound model with only 1 wound left as well. but this is common sense.

Yes, it is done on a model by model basis. No Allocation involved.

So dangerous terrain can in theory leave a squad of ogryns, for example, with three wounded models instead of one dead.

Oh another question, does "gets hot" work the same way?

Yes, exactly the same way - ONLY the model that "gets hot" can take wounds from the rolls, as it does not use wound allocation.
Or vis will be along in a bit saying this is only guidance - so do what you want.
