I took a meger look for FAQs for Talisman 3rd editon, and didnt' find any. So... I was wondering if anyone knew... for instance in the crags or the forest, where you might be attacked by a woodsman with strength 4..... do you get exp if you win? It would be the same as the question if you get exp for the lords in the dungeon, forest and mountain expansions?

No, you only get XP for kills which you can take the card for.
