This came up in a game earlier..

Was asked to roll 4 gets hot for 2 guys shooting under 12" for their rapid fire shots. Correct or Incorrect?

I got the BRB and I cant really find this anywhere. Idk if this is in a FAQ anywhere or something though.

Erm... sort of correct? You roll to hit as normal for rapid fire weapons, and if those weapons have Gets Hot!, any roll of 1 to hit inflicts a wound on the firing model. (So you should roll different dice for each firer if the firers are not identical).

Gets Hot! rolls are not separate unless you have blast weapons.

You roll each guy separately. For each roll of 1 to hit, you suffer a wound. So yes, 2 Models in Rapid Fire Range with Gets Hot weapons have a 0.0771604938% chance of suffering 4 wounds.

Even if the firers are identical, you need to roll separately, as you might have 1 wound on each or 2 wounds on 1, which as it is done on a model by model basis, can make a big difference.

Continuing the subject...

If rapid firing a plasma gun and one shot hits while the other gets hot, does the one shot still damage the target (and the firer takes his wound)?

Yes - as one shot has still hit, unlike a plasma cannon from an infantry model where a "1" means the shot never fired in the first place.

No, the plasma cannon still fires even if a 1 is rolled.

That would be funny....roll a "1" on either dice and the plasma does not fire at all...

Like the Khorne Daemon Weapon.

This is a little story about four people named Everybody, Somebody, Anybody, and Nobody.
There was an important job to be done and Everybody was sure that Somebody would do it.
Anybody could have done it, but Nobody did it.
Somebody got angry about that because it was Everybody's job.
Everybody thought that Anybody could do it, but Nobody realized that Everybody wouldn't do it.
It ended up that Everybody blamed Somebody when Nobody did what Anybody could have done.

Yes, please check the rules before posting, as this is 110% incorrect.
