Extract from Path of the Warrior by Gav Thorpe is up:

Any implications of what is written?

It's based in Alaitoc.

Can't see anything beyond what we already knew.

I'm tempted by the book but the names make it much heavier reading than it needs to be. I felt myself slowing down each time I got to a knew character to work round yet another 5/6 syllable name - I know its fluffly but it feels a little overdone.

While you sleep, they'll be waiting...

Have you thought about the Axis of Evil pension scheme?

I wasn't keen on the representation of the Exarchs. I don't picture them being very chatty, least of all smiling. I suppose they're just Eldar Space Marines though, and Space Marines chat and laugh.

It also suffered from Call A Rabbit A Smeerp, what with all the funky names for the food they were eating. It would've been appropriate just to put 'they were eating leaves and berries and raw meat' and leave it at that.

I'm a fussy prick, it was fine. Looks interesting and I'll be picking a copy up.

While the names are a mouthful (not as impacting as older names like Asurmen, Karandras, Yriel etc), I find they're less irritating than 'VerbNoun' or 'AdjectiveNoun' names that are often used now (not that they're bad in themselves, but it seems to be done a bit too much now.)

What I see is there's variation in the way different Exarchs of the same school train, with the two Scorpion shrines (almost a Fist of the North/South star school difference).

The joke at the expense of Iybraesil is pretty amusing too.
