Now imagine that horde of 30 boyz with shootas instead of sluggas.

Attacks go from 3 (4 on charge) to 2 (3 on charge), But you shoot GUNS lots of 'em.

Also sounds like you have 8 troop choices, isn't 6 the max

Actually he was asking Speed OR Horde, but back to the original post, personally I prefer the idea of having something to hide behind with my battlesuits, especially since the suits could pop transports, which you could then propmtly charge the contents. Preferably though the cover that moves fast would be nice.

Also what drone does his el have, and if I could, how about gun drones to be cheap fodder, shields to protect him, or the best, markerlight drones. Yes they are expensive, but they could make the BS 2 of 60 shots from boyz be more dangerous by making them BS 3 or even 4. Try the mathhammer on that one!!!!

the problem with shoota boyz is that I really don't have any, I just have a buttload of choppy goodness

So being that you have a lack of shoota boyz then the choppy variety will work fine to support the suits, though I think that using the speed freaks would be a better combo w/ the fact that they are fast. Shield drones would work fine, though you can still use the markelights but instead the bikers could benefit from the BS, not quite as scary but it does work.

So the advantages for horde are lots of models, and swarming ability
Advantages for speed freaks are speed and mobility. .. .hmmm which to choose
