Every space marine (from scout to Calgar) has 4 toughness, then out of the blue Ortan Cassius waltzes in with 6. What gives?

At least he doesn't have anything crazy like T6 and 5 wounds. Sheesh, that's be insane.

He has extensive augmetic work, mainly because he's seen so much conflict, due to the fact that he's one of the oldest Marines on record.

Meh, he is tougher, but he still only has 2 wounds. It doesn't get him too far.
3 wounds would make a bit more sense IMO.

Yeah he's tough. Powerfists still wound him on 2's. Problem solved!

The T6 represents all the plot armor the Ultrasmurfs have; he just scrounged up more.

For my liking, T6 is too much for a Space Marine.
His special abilities make him useful, not so much the toughness.

Straken, a regular human, is S6 thanks to his extensive augmetics. Bionics have come a long way from the days of being a 1-in-6 well-be-back roll.

Ulrik: No Idea, but we know he was the Wolf Priest who recruited Logan.

Notice that I said "one of the oldest on record" not "the oldest on record"

The Blood Angels and Space Wolves are both renowned for having very long lifes, even compared to other Marines. Ortan Cassius is probably one of the oldest Space Marines of those who were created by Guillaume's gene-seed.

Cassius still calls Calgar "Young Calgar" so I'm guessing he's pretty damn old. On the other hand, I hate that Dante doesn't have eternal warrior despite being the oldest living loyalist Space Marine.

Don't forget Darnath Lysander! He dates back to Dante's younger years, even though one has no way of knowing how much time he "spent" in the warp.

He is somthing like 3 quarters robitic, somhow this make his T6...

The T6 is basically just Eternal Warrior-lite.

Wait, bionics improve toughness? I am SO pumped for Codex: Iron Hands that they promised me in 4th ed!
