So I've invested in Gale Force 9 movement trays for my lizardmen cuz I like how they look. The trays have an edge of about 1/4" all around the block that you can add flock to and stuff like that.

So, with a tray that makes the overall size of the unit take up space out past the edge of the models bases, should you measure from the edge of the models bases, or the edge of the movement tray? or does it not really matter? or what if I always measure from the bases, but the kid I'm playing decides that since his charge can barely touch my movement tray the charge worked when he's really a 1/4 inch away?

Make it clear before the match how you are planning to measure and make sure everyone is in agreement. That being said i would probably just measure from the front edge of the movement tray.
