Being A big Fan of the Gotrek and Felix Series I went about making my own rules for the Main Characters. This is interpretation of how Malakai would work, Let me know what you think and any suggestions/improvements

Malakai Makaisson
This crazed dwarf engineer was forced to take up the slayer oath for misdeeds he had done in the past relating to the Guild of Engineers. Though a slayer Malakai still has his love for engineering and creates many different weapons to carry onto the battlefield. His greatest weapon of all was the great airship the Spirit of Grungi that travelled to the Chaos wastes and back and help lift the siege on Praag. He is definitely the closest thing to a happy and respectful slayer you will ever find but will kill anyone brave enough to touch his beloved inventions. Being slightly different from other slayers Malakai wears light leather armour everywhere he goes, not for protection from the enemies but just out of habit from working in his workshop.
Malakai may be taken as a Hero choice in any Dwarf army, or as a rare choice in any Empire or Kislevite army as a Dogs of War. If chosen in a dwarf army no Master Engineers may be taken because of the lack of trust for Malakai.

Wargear: Slayer Axes, Assorted Experiments and Light Armour.
Special Rules
Slayer, Spirit of Grungi.

Assorted Experiments
Malakai carries many of his experiments throughout the world and always has a few on hand for any battles he faces. As such he has the following weapons and may fire one per turn;
Master Handgun – Dwarf Handgun. Range 30”, Strength 4, move-or-fire, Armour Piercing, Superior Design. Using his handgun Malakai can re-roll failed shots to hit.
Black Powder Bombs – Thrown Weapon. Range 6”.
Select a model in the target unit that is within range and place the small blast template with the centre hole of the model. Roll the scatter and artillery dice and move the template the amount shown in inches in the direction of the arrow on the scatter dice. If a ‘hit’ is scored do not move it. All models fully under the template are hit automatically and models partially are hit on 4+. The models take a strength 4 hit with -2 to their armour save.
Malakai can throw up to 3 bombs per shooting phase but every bomb after the first he must pass an initiative test to show he threw the bombs in time. The first additional bomb has no modifier but the second has -1 to his initiative to show that it gets harder the more he throws. If the initiative test fails then place the template over Malakai and resolve as normal (roll scatter and artillery dice). The additional bombs may be thrown at different units to the first.

Spirit of Grungi
Wherever Malakai goes the Spirit of Grungi is never far away. At the start of the battle you may place Malakai in reserve and bring him in using the reserves rules. Place a marker where you want Malakai to Land as he shoots down the ladder from the Spirit of Grungi and roll the scatter and artillery dice and move the marker the inches indicated in the direction if the dice. If he lands on difficult terrain he will take D6 St3 hits. If land on a unit (friend or foe) both he and the unit take D6 St3 hits. When landing on an enemy unit he automatically counts as having charged the unit from the rear to show the surprise of the attack. Beside from that he may move (not march or charge) in the turn he arrives and may shoot but counts as having moved.

Malakai is still a Master Engineer and follows the rules detailed in the Dwarf Army Book, and breaks the normal slayer rules of not being able to join units by being able to join one war machine in a dwarf army.
