Ok, Ive been holding out on pics as my crap cam hasnt been working on macro shots. But- I found an article on how to basically hack the auto-focus, and voila! Focused pics!
On to the Good stuff. Tallarns are notoriosu for thier Arabic themed head wear, so heres some random grabs from my shemagh pile. Next round of pics I need ot take from a higher perpspective- as I sculpted all of these looking down at them- and thats where they look the best.
Theres also Omar Marbo, and a WIP of my Straken that need his head gear, pistol, and a bit more work on his robes.

Give the other fellows robes that cover their entire bodies, not just their heads. Moving around in the desert dressed up as rambo isn't the smartest thing to do

Ya, the catachan bodies are getting shoulder pads still. But they're the figs for the 'labor' platoon, hence the e-tools And theyre dirt cheap and I have piles of them lol

If you want to sculpt robes on 70 or 80 guardsmen, feel free Since the catachan bodies are the labor platoon, even in the middle eastern deserts they dont do the hard labor or dirty work in thier robes.
And desert doesnt always equal hot, just a lack of water

Boom! Leman Russ Commander

you could make the cloaks onto a few guardsmen and then mold the figure so you can make more copies of the cloaked figure. this should be pretty simple to do, thou it would make it so you would only have a few different bodies to choose from since the mold would be the same as the body you sculpted.

Listen, my children, as I pass onto you the truth behind Willy Wonka and his factory. For every wonka bar ever created in existance, Mr. Wonka sacraficed a single Oompa Loompa to the god of chocolate, Hearshys. Then, he drank the blood of the fallen orange men because he fed them a constant supply of sugary chocolate so they all became diabetic and had creamy, sweet-tasting blood that willy could put into each and every Wonka bar. That is the REAL story behind willy wonka's Slaughter House! |

The fig for Omar is an old Last Chancers fig, Shiv. The stock fig looks very native american, if you look you can still see the fringe on his pants, since theyre supposed to look like 'buckskins'. So he still needs a little work, but hes mostly done.

Ok.
I noticed with the labor squad, 1 man was on a square base (this is going OT) but is there a rule in 40k saying you can't use square bases? I was just wondering.

"Straight Fething Silver" Tanith first and only
I have a reputation, Modile, a reputation as a fair, honest man who treats his soldiers well and supports them in the face of darkness. Potentially, that reputation makes me soft. It seems I understand failure and forgive it. Some, like Kowle, believe me to be a weak commissar, not prepared to take the action my rank demands. Not prepared to enforce field discipline where I see it failing. I am an Imperial commissar. I will enflame the weak, support the wavering, guide the lost. I will be all things to all men who need me. But I will also punish without hesitation the weak, the incompetent, and the treasonous.
I am a Commissar. I am empowered to deliver justice wherever I see it lacking. I am empowered to punish cowardice. I am granted the gift of total authority to judge, in the name of the Emperor, on the field of combat.
— Colonel-Commissar Ibram Gaunt, prior to the field execution of his uncle General Aldo Dercius |
