B&C.com recently put out an AU retelling of the Heresy, but with Dorn as the Arch-Heretic instead of Horus.
The Dornian Heresy (and various IAs),also IA: Iron Warriors

Normally, I just lurk, but it was so completely epic that I could only cry tears of manliness and register to share it. Not only is it better then the Horus Heresy, but soul-bound Thousand Sons, Vampiric Blood Angels, Tzeentchian Raven Guard, and Independent Ultramar (they actually made the Ultrasmurfs INTERESTING) are all kickass.

What do you guys think?

EDIT: Almost forgot: Necron Space Marines, and Malal.

First I was thinking, seriously, how many fanfics haven't there been on this subject, but this is suprisingly well written and good GOD, the Ultramarines suddenly makes sense!

Its good, particularly the Ultramar stuff (love the mk16 damocles armour), my only issue with it is they seem undecided on their point of divergence from OTL. Its presented as being when Horus throws off the possession but then they have other changes further back then that in the form of Lograr's piety and Sanguinius's deal with Nurgle.

In many ways this would make a fun Roleplaying setting though, might nick it to use for that.
