Me and my Friends are going to have a 500 point tourny so i was wondering if this would be a good army to field.

if that land raider gets shot down before you reach the enemy, youre screwed.

drop the point costs for upgrades.. total points costs for squad are acceptable but its agianst forum rules to put individual point costs for an upgrade

This list is sooo wrong.... Your friends arn't going to play with you anymore on account that only one of them has a lascannon and the rest don't have more than one melta a peice.

Well... I would definately not run a Land Raider in such a small format against my friends.... Kinda a lame move. And considering you are running everything else almost at bare bones, I would drop the Land Raider, and take more troops or atleast upgrade them with power weapons or Mark of the Wulfen or Wolf Standard. One bad assault/shooting phase cripples such a small army. Those 240 points could certianly be employed somewhere else much more effectively IMHO.

I hope you know that in 500 point games there is supposed to be limitations.

The limitations used on every serious tournament is no more than armor 33 after adding the three numbers.

Also no ordnance, 2+ saves, 3+ wounds, or 3+ invulnerable.

If I was your friends I would tell you to not bullcrap the whole thing...

It's a good list, merely because there will be so few anti-vehicle weapons at that level.

If you want a different list that's not so cheap, but you still want vehicles, take vindicators, or maybe some dreads in drop pods. Either way, it'll cause problems.

Its more like a Redeemer with some operating Space Wolves.
In small points, you need numbers.
I'd consider two full GH units in Rhinos led by a WGBL.

I'd like to face that list with my necrons, Dlord with Warscythe ftw.

As people pointed out no1 will want to vs you if you use this list and you wont make any friends

What? No DP's I didn't realise there were such limitations. Well I suppose if this is between friends it shouln't matter too much. This would be a challenging list to run.

I beleve those limitations are combat protrol. Correct me if i am wrong.

For Combat Patrol or Kill Team depending on which edition you are looking at. Basically though, they were added to specifically avoid this kind of pony list that unbalances the rules.

Having said that, it could be fun to play if the players discussed and agreed on their lists in advance. It doesn't look quite as nice when the IG opponent throws a vendetta into the mix, or any of a number of other counters.
