Got this as a gift from my local Gamestop. What should I do with it? Deff Dread? Chaos Dreadnought? Or just keep it like that and maybe use it in Apocalypse Games in my Traitor Guard army? ^^

Traitors all the way... maybe try model the crew as being dock workers or some other form of utility-types?

I dont know i am kinda tossed between deff dread or chaos Daemon prince. I think it would fit an iron warriors DP also.

I want to say Ork something......but part of me is wanting to say traitor guard. But if you go a traitor guard/chaos route, just dont get stupid with the tentacles and such. Try and keep it machine looking.

i see a terrain peice, maybe a big old entrance to a mine with that banged up nearby? Have the mine collapsed with that walker at the entrance, the back half of it crushed by the collapsed mine, with a big ol' chunk of warpstone looking material in its claw and a skeleton in the cockpit, turn it into a scenario peice of terrain.

Perhaps a little big for a dredd (I'm guessing from the size of the lighter), without serious surgery?

Personally I like the terrain idea - smashed/broken vehicles make a nice change from the usual trees and buildings.

could you put it next to a normal model for size comparision per chance?

Seems like it might even be the right size to turn into a Mega Dread... just sayin.

It was a Pre-Order Bonus for the last Red Faction game I think. We had an open-ended Saturday last week so most stores in the inner city were open till 24:00. I visited the Gamestop late at night and they asked me if I wanted any of the stuff they still had lying around. Let's just say it pays to be a regular and loyal customer.

I thought about that too, to be honest, that's the idea I can't get rid off.

hmm... a bit too small for that imo. I'm not sure where I could put a canon that size. At least not without ruining the awesome walkway part.

I cast my vote for traitor guard. Orkifying it would be too cliche.

An Admech/traitor guard walker would be my best bet when it comes to minis you can game with. In Apocalypse, have it count as a chaos dread - or maybe a furioso .

If you're prepared to break it up though, my twisted mind sees two separate modelling opprtunities: the hindquarters with legs looks pretty easy to separate. You could then mount the front bit on tracks (which would suit it better IMO), making it look like a mini-Lord of Battles from old epic 40K, and you'd have some nice legs for a knight-type walker.

Orking it out would be cool but its also set up to look like a furioso as well.
