So I bought the orange box the other day. Ive been having fun messing around with it but MAN am I getting addicted to team fortress 2. So far my favs are either the Spy or the Heavy. Being able to just unload down hallways is just awesome, but infiltrating the enemy base and killing a couple guys at a time is just sweet. Anyone else hooked on this game?

I've been pretty hooked on it for a while now.

I'm pretty torn between the Pyro and the Demoman. Setting people on fire can be pretty fun (especially if you can light up a whole group of people). I just love the Demoman, what's better than a drunk Scottish psychopath wielding high explosives and beating people to death with a liquor bottle?

The pyro IS awesome. Not only does he look friggin awesome (and how he yells medic still makes me laugh) but yea sitting near a corner and just lighting up 3 or so people at once is friggin great.

Ive tried the demoman a few times....I just cant seem to figure out how to use them right. I think I freak out when Im expecting the explosives to explode but the enemy just runs past them lol. Ive literally only killed like 2 people with him, and one was a pure accidental inta kill. I was just popping the grenade things through a door and some poor sob came in at thw wrong moment and POW red paste everywhere

the few times i played on x-box(we got jipped i think) i loved the spy. stabbing guys in the back or sabotages is awesome.

-to many points to bother to count.

King do you play on the PC version? IIRC you can't get items on any other version (like the Heavy's Sandvich)

I think this is where the Demo's 'defensive' play-style comes in. He makes a 'no-fly zone' using stickies and nades that a lot of classes can't get through without dying.

I can't really get the Spy to work for me. Mainly because I can't switch weapons fast enough or set myself up for a backstab effectively. When I play him I usually run Ambassador+Dead Ringer and follow a Soldier or something and try landing headshots, and when I get shot at I pull out my Dead Ringer and book it.

Not a real big fan of the game tbh, but being the pyro is so much fun. Nothing like torching an entire hallyway to get one dude....

My favorites are either the Scout or the Demoman. The scout is cool because he's quick, and he's been my favorite ever since he got his own trailer (grass grows, sun shines, birds fly, and brother I hurt people). The Demoman is fun too, planting stickies on a point racks up kills quickly and in time you can switch out your liquor for a beastly sword. The Spy's trailer is the best out of all of them though.

My favorite are the Scout and Sniper.

None stop massacre + confusion for the other team.

I play it on the PS3. So weather or not its similar to the PC I dunno.

As for the Spy, its pretty simply to get back stabs. I just run around with the knife already out. And Ill usually run around with a mix of the cloak on and in disguise of either the medic or engineer. Only the most paranoid of players shoot at everything that moves, and most of the time people just ignore you as an engineer. Infact the other day I grabbed a triple kill in one spot. There was a medic/demoman/sniper all sitting in one window kindda guarding one another. So I came in and started from the back forward just backstabbing mofos.

It was a great time.

I split time between the Sniper and Soldier, with a little Demo thrown in for flavor. Love that unlockable rocket launcher on the soldier. It reminds me of the disc launcher.

OH TF'n games, Im a grizzled vet, if you play the PC version, which recieves regular updates, which means you been around since the beginning. TF is simpy an amazing game, with a witty and hilarious set of characters, some of the best and most in depth voice acting in the industry, original concepts, gameplay, gamemodes, etc. Its simply an amazing game and everyone should play!

PC is where it's at. I'm not normally a blatant PC elitist, but it really is miles above and beyond on PC. More populated servers, a far more active playerbase, and constant support from Valve make it a fantastic game. It's also optimized to run on PC better so it looks beautiful on the right settings.

I'm a soldier/heavy guy mostly. I used to play scout a lot more though.

Just got TF2 yesterday, very fun if a bit frustrating for me (somehow going from MW2 to this was hard)
Complete engi noob here, love sitting in corners and waiting for punks to walk on my gun-infested lawn.
+1 for PC being best.

EDIT: Mr. SD now likes Pyro and Sniper best. Nothing like starting sniper wars with 2 other enemies over 2fort. Plus Pyro is fun for bothering engis.

Update released just a couple of days ago for PC.

New community weapons are:

The Scotsman's Skullcracker- Battleaxe for the Demoman that does more damage but lowers movement speed. Can be crafted by combining Jarate and the Axtinguisher.

The Tribesman's Shiv- Serrated wooden kukri for the Sniper that does less initial damage on hit but causes a bleed effect similar to burning (except jumping in water or grabbing a medpack do not remove it; it always runs it's full duration). Can be crafted by combining a Huntsman with the Dead Ringer.

I love playing Medic and Pyro. Not very good at aiming, but I can hit flares really well (And they buffed flares!) and love uubering.

Kritzkrieg Soldiers are awesome.

Oh man Im starting to get good at this game. The other night it was me, vs 3 others in a steal the intelligence game. I won 3 to zip. THEN last night I was playing with some really good players, so me being the Spy was pretty much out (friggin paranoid lot )
So I was either the Pyro or the Heavy and I was just slaying people. I actually got an 8 kill streak with one life on the pyro. I felt great

Last night, the Gods shined on me too.

As Medic, I got 3 uubercharges in one lift, 4 kills, and 17 assists. Oh, and we captured the final point.

Holy friggin crap you were on fire

Speaking of, Ive been practicing with the Demoman, and I have to say, I kick ASS with him. Once I figured out how to play with um, Ive been slaying. I defended the intelligence 6 times in one match, and scared an AMAZING 37 kills in an hour of playing. Man I. WAS. UNSTOPPABLE

Not the same at all, no patches or upgrades. I'll have to look for you next time I play it online.

Demo is scary when played well. Those stickies are just ridiculous, and successful pipe hits feel like getting rammed by a truck.

Nuther fun Medic story for today: I was playing Medic. Some **** on the voice chat kept screaming at me about how I'm lame because I'm a Medic, and how I should play a real combat class. Then my uuber is full, and he suddenly starts begging me to uuber him. So I do (He was in a good situation to uuber, and I tend not to discriminate). He misses a Sentry twice before walking off a cliff. At that point, I get sick of him, switch sides, and help the enemy team steamroll my old one, since there were no other Medics.

I love playing Scottish Resistance Demo now.

Although, I'm far far far more of a sniper player. A sniper with Jarate and the rifle, when played and employed well in conjunction with a Medic/Heavy combo can really tear crap up.

The new knife that came out is amazingly fun too

Glad to see all of you love TF2.

I used to play a lot, and thanks to Nofasse's post, I'm going to start playing again. I had terrible luck w/ items w/ the demoman (since I played it for so long, the melee class was the only thing that intrigued me anymore)

I was one that used the idle program, and when they took all my items when they cracked down on it (even the ones I actually had gotten before idling) I was pissed and stopped.

But now, I finally have the axe and chargin' targe, so will start playing again.

Name is Raptor Jesus, so if anyone wants to play ^.^

I love the game, I play almost everyday in my PC. My favourite class is the Demo, but I use to choose my class according to the circumstances of the play.

I love the Sniper bow too ^^

Oh yeah, I got 3 kritzkriegs in one life on Monday. The Soldier I was uubering for the last one killed 7 people in one Kritzkrieg. What an awesome dude. We both congratulated each other on slaughtering the other team.
