Are they included in sets such as the Sterngaurd Vet. squad? or do you have to make conversions?

Thank you

I don't believe Sternguard come with any. The only ones I know off handy that are readily avalable are Combi-Plasma and Combi-Melta that come with the plastic Captain box. Otherwise a couple special characters come with some metal ones. Don't know of a single Combi-Flamer bit off hand.

The Sternguard box comes with one, a combi-melta.

You'll get the best results just making your own, I think there is a guide on the forums somewhere, or just google it. It's pretty simple and in the end they look EXACTLY like what GW makes you pay for.

Sternguard comes with Combi-Melta and Combi-Plasma. They only fit on one model in the kit though.

The Space Marine Commander kit, as already mentioned, is a really good kit to get combi-weapons.
I made another combi-melta by clipping off the boltguns "throat" (the place where the bullets (or whatever they are) come from) and replace it with one of Ork Nobz kits sluggas throat. It actually looks like a combi-melta!

Win/Draw/Lost statics
Space Orks: 11/1/1
Space Marines: 10/2/5
Lizardmen: 8/2/3
High Elves: 13/2/2 and one tournament victory!
Dark Eldar: 1/0/0

A really simple way of building a combi-melta is, just shave the top of a bolter off smooth, then cut a melta gun off just below the side tank, and attach it to the top of the bolter. It looks just like the ones in the commander kits. I found step by step intructions with pics somewhere on this forum.

Yes there is a very very good combi-melta tutorial with pics in the tutorial section.

I have done it myself and it works brilliantly
