So finally after 1 year in the making i finished my first fully-painted army. What would be a better way to celebrate this than posting a thread on my favourite forums?
Prologue:
For my third attempt at getting into the hobby i tried to stick to one army this time instead of trying different minis from different Factions, but since i already had lots of Space Marines without the intent of starting a SM-army the path was cleared for a new chaotic warband. I wanted to practice alot with greenstuff, so i thought Nurgle would be the way to go - and boy i was right!
Kitbashing and converting is a lot of fun and on top of that Nurgle is very forgiving when it comes to the point where i have to put some paint on the minis (it's cool as long as it looks like something vomited on the marines ^_^ ).
My current army is 1750 points and i play them 1-2 times per month in a nice little tournament circuit in a nearby city. No hardcore-gamers, very friendly people and absolutely beginner-friendly.

The List:

HQ
Demon Prince, wings, MoN
Sorcerer, Terminator-armour, MoN, Wind of Chaos

Elite
5x Terminators, 1 Chainfist, 1 Reaper, 2x combi-melta
2x Cybot with Plasmacannon

Troops
8x Plaguemarines, 1 Melta, 1 Flamer, Champ w. Powerweapon, Icon, Rhino
8x Plaguemarines, 1 Melta, 1 Flamer, Champ w. Powerweapon, Icon, Rhino
7x Plaguemarines, 2x Plasmagun, Icon, Rhino

Support
Predator w. TL-Laser, no sponsons
2x1 Obliterator

I'm going up the ladder 1-2 places everytime i go to a tourney, hopefully i'll be somewhere in the upper half at next saturday

The Pictures:

Let's start with my Demon Prince. He was built from a WHFB-Ogre, got some Claws from a plastic Carnifex as wings and has nice guts made from GS - a simple yet effective conversion which everybody at the tourney seemed to like alot (especially they liked to shoot him with a LOT of guns).

Next is my Sorcerer with his Terminator-retinue. Here i pimped the normal SM-Terminators with lots of Tyranid-bits...
The Autocannon is a counts-as Reaper, because i love the SM-Cannon for it's Minigun-Style.

To replace my lesser demons, who terribly underperformed everytime i used them, i bought 2 Dreadnoughts from AOBR and converted them to Plama-spewing Deathmachines - so far they never hurt each other (allthough they tried to)!!

Next are my troops. I used converted Space Marines, some Heads from Westwind Productions, many bits from the WHFB Zombies and Skeletons, a Plaguemarine-Squad from the actual GW-Range and even some old Marines (Snap-Fit Plagues and a mini from Space Crusade). The lone Powerfist-Guy is an experimental mini, maybe i'll use him some time when i feel my squads need a little more punch in the assault.

Transportation:
My 3 Rhinos are all pre-owned and where already painted, so i spiced them up with some bits & GS, painted them nurgly and was ready to go, no extensive conversions.
The brain is a small item i got in a promotion for Microsofts MS-Net 8 years ago

The first thing i finished for this army was my beloved Predator "Brutus". His TL-Laser is an old Tarantula from a Space Crusade Expansion. He seldom kills something, but is a sight to behold on every Battlefield!

Last but not least - the Obliterators! I dodn't want to buy 2 Oblits and a Demon Prince for 65 €, so i went and got a box of WHFB-Ogres for 30 €, build my Units and still got 3 Ogres left for future conversions...that's what i call a bargain!

That's all folks!
I'll replace the pics of unfinished units as soon as i have the time to make some new pics with my gfs' Digicam

Hey very nice work woth your marines. they are fantastic especially your termies and dreads. keep up the good work.

"Straight Fething Silver" Tanith first and only

I have a reputation, Modile, a reputation as a fair, honest man who treats his soldiers well and supports them in the face of darkness. Potentially, that reputation makes me soft. It seems I understand failure and forgive it. Some, like Kowle, believe me to be a weak commissar, not prepared to take the action my rank demands. Not prepared to enforce field discipline where I see it failing. I am an Imperial commissar. I will enflame the weak, support the wavering, guide the lost. I will be all things to all men who need me. But I will also punish without hesitation the weak, the incompetent, and the treasonous.
I am a Commissar. I am empowered to deliver justice wherever I see it lacking. I am empowered to punish cowardice. I am granted the gift of total authority to judge, in the name of the Emperor, on the field of combat.
— Colonel-Commissar Ibram Gaunt, prior to the field execution of his uncle General Aldo Dercius

Thanks alot! I won't do more nurgly stuff in the future (except for a homebrewn Defiler someday, he needs some more gs-work and paint), but there's some Khorne Berserkers, Orks and a Deathwing i'll spend my time with for the next months.
I'll post some pics soon in a new WIP-Thread!
