So, I bought this airbrush in order to speed up the painting of my tanks. Can you use the standard GW paints or do you have to use the foundataion paints in order to get a good coverage?
Thanks in advance!

You can use standard GW paints.
Word of warning though - due to the lid design little crusty bits can get into the paint which will block up the nozzle.
I recommend using a pippette or a syringe to transfer paint.
Also get loads of spare airbrush bottles for mixing up the paints. this way you can get all the colours ready & then save them for future use on similar models. (eg by 1 tank, paint up, buy 2 more tanks & still have the same colours to paint those with.)
I would also recommend getitng some dvd's. Night Vision & Osprey do some really good ones and watching someone else working is always a great way to learn the process.
I use Tamyia & Vallejo paints in my brush using both Tamyia X-20 thinning medium & Vallejo airbrush cleaner to thin my paints. I never use water.
I've also used car windscreen washer fluid. Sounds strange but it does work.

The work internet gods have decided that your picture will not load.
You can use pretty much any paint in an airbrush, you just have to make sure you water down whatever paint it is your using. The thinner the paint you start with and the higher the PSI your airbrush is operating at meens you can get away with thinning your paint less. From my experiance its about a 60/40 mix of a GW non-foundation paint to water. But your going to have to experiment alittle bit with whatever setup your useing to find out what mix flows best for you.
I dont know if you are useing canned propelants or a compressor, but if you are useing cans make sure you have more then one can to work from. In the past I found that haveing three cans to switch between worked the best that way you have a can to work from, a spare can and a can that is warming back up.
good luck, it really makes a difference when painting large objects.

ive personally found that GW paints dont work too well with airbrushes. Thinning them with water tends to reduce the stickyness of them and they end up as thin washes. Or they go the other way and clog your brush.

If you can find colors close to Citadel colors I'd suggest using AB specific paints.
Createx's Wicked color line is awesome and the 2oz bottle will last a while. I've heard good things about Vallejo Model Air but $2.50 for like .5oz (basically 2 full color cups in my gravity fed brush) is kind of pricy, especially if you want to paint up 2 dozen Chimeras or something or basecoat 300 orks.
