So I'm working on my Seraphim using some Sanguinary Guard wings (and if I can get some donated Sanguinor or Astorath wings for VSS/HQ). At the moment I'm taking standard sister backpacks, cutting off the spherical sections and cutting them in half; one half on either side of the wing.

Picture 3 was my initial plan, the spheres came off as they interfered with the wings.

Picture 2 is what I came up with after I decided 3 didn't look that good. If I do it again it will have the exhaust vents like on 1. (none of it stuck together, they're just resting on each other I need to drill more)

Picture 1 is just the standard backpack next to the pinned wings.

Do you guys have any suggestions on how I can improve this basic design?

Picture 2 seems to be most stable design - tough choice though.

Personally, I think Design 1 would be the best.

I did a similar conversion for my Seraphim with Swooping Hawk wings trimmed and added to the Seraphim jetpacks.

that was back when you could find necromunda figures that didn't cost an arm and a leg though.
