Hello there!

I finally want to assemble, base and paint all the Anima Tactics miniatures that are slowly gathering dust on my table. I will have more time to play in summer, so I hope I can finally visit my FLGS to play, rather than to just buy and chat.

So, here are WiP's of my first two miniatures:

Azriel:

Base detail:

Limited Edition Celia:

Base:

I still have to finish assembling her, wich will be a huge pain in the a^^ since the arms of the mini are so delicate and don't really fit that well. I'll probably have to help myself out with some green stuff bandages on her arms to cover the gaps.

The bases were inspired by this awesome tutorial on Massive Voodoo: Building a base with old electronics

Thanks for looking, I'm happy about any comment at all ^^

Cheers,
Peter

Awesome start - I look forward to seeing them painted, especially the Celia model.

Just moved to Australia.

Fantastic base.

"Straight Fething Silver" Tanith first and only

I have a reputation, Modile, a reputation as a fair, honest man who treats his soldiers well and supports them in the face of darkness. Potentially, that reputation makes me soft. It seems I understand failure and forgive it. Some, like Kowle, believe me to be a weak commissar, not prepared to take the action my rank demands. Not prepared to enforce field discipline where I see it failing. I am an Imperial commissar. I will enflame the weak, support the wavering, guide the lost. I will be all things to all men who need me. But I will also punish without hesitation the weak, the incompetent, and the treasonous.
I am a Commissar. I am empowered to deliver justice wherever I see it lacking. I am empowered to punish cowardice. I am granted the gift of total authority to judge, in the name of the Emperor, on the field of combat.

Thanks for the comments and praise!

I'll probably assemble and base a couple of minis and then assembly-line paint them to get them done quicker.

Next in line (for those that know the game) are Bella & Aqua, Tsubasa and whatever miniatures I get when I'm impulse buying at the shop ^^

Wow I haven't been around here for quite a while. Sorry if hauling this thread up from ages ago violates any rules.

I've continued on my A:T minis the last year, of course, I just didn't have a lot of hobby time. I hope this update makes up for that. I do plan on more regular painting sessions, though...
As for paint schemes, I've decided to go a bit flying rodent gak and do something unusual with the Anima minis. They lend themselves very well to excessive paint jobs, so this will be where I try out new colors and techniques.

The camera I used for these is not as good as the previous one, but I tried the best I could. Note that lots of highlights and details got washed out due to picture quality.

So much for half-assed excuses, here's what I got:

Azriel is more or less finished except maybe for some more highlights on the coat and more detailed eyes. And he still needs a checker pattern on the rim of his cloak.

I'm really happy with how the base turned out.

Another mini long awaiting completion is Konosuke. He was a lot of work to put together, but I like how he turned out. The color scheme was inspired by tibetan (sp?) butter sculptures of a similar creature like him I saw in a museum once. I tried to balance the bright blue, yellow and red with a darker base and grey/brown/black boots and armor pieces.

Also, my girlfriend and I got around to taking pictures of the two Maximo Ligori miniatures we painted a while ago.

They were taken in medium quality lighting with an iPhone but some details are still visible ^^

Maximo "Nosebleed" Ligori, painted by my girlfriend:

and his base by Scibor (still have to pin him to it):

and Maximo "Captain America" Ligori, painted by me:

The two of them together on a stroll:

So, I hope you like the update, looking forward to any comments and critique ^^
Cheers,
Peter

I started this thread to promote the game a bit, actually. It is a lot of fun to play and has some of the best-looking minis for skirmish games out there.
