Howdy, folks. I'm looking at returning to painting my miniatures after a several-month hiatus. Something that occurs to me that I might be needing is something to seal the paint on finished models, so that the paint doesn't rub/chip off quite so easily. I'm not a fan of sprays, but I'll do what I have to; I'd also prefer something that leaves a matte finish, as I don't particularly want my models to be shiny. Low price and wide availability in California would be helpful. Any ideas?

... if you change your mind about shiny, GW 'ardcoat is quite awesome. I use it on my marines, makes em look awesome!

After the orbital strikes, Thunderhawk bombardments, Whirlwinds, Vindicators, fusion and starfire and finally Battle Brothers with flamers had finished cleansing the world of all the enemies of Man, we built a monastery in the center of the largest, most radioactive impact crater. We named the planet "Tranquility", for it was very quiet now.

Testors Dullcote or Krylon Flat are both good Mattes. Krylon is a little cheaper and easier to get though it doesn't flatten as much as Testors.

--The whole concept of government granted and government regulated 'permits' and the accompanying government mandate for government approved firearms 'training' prior to being blessed by government with the privilege to carry arms in a government approved and regulated manner, flies directly in the face of the fundamental right to keep and bear arms.
