Maybe you'd get some more replies if you spelled it correctly.

Objective markers. The rippers are there so you can use other bases and add more and more rippers as you go along.

Chainsaw for sentinels? Maybe you can make "count as" lumberjack sentinels, with the same capabilities as the power lifter sentinels in Imperial Armoury?

I gather that the rippers in the Genestealer box have some weapon that the rippers in the ripper box do not.

As such, the idea is that you buy ten boxes of 'stealers to make one squad of rippers.

The Chainsaw for the sentinels is an old option called rough terrain modification; this option no longer exists.

You could put it on a scout sentinel to signify the move through cover rule.

Or you could lop the are off an AOBR ork nob and glue it on as both cybork body and Power Klaw(that's what I did)

Or you could glue it to a deffcopter as a Buzzsaw upgrade.

This is my Rulebook. There are many Like it, but this one is mine. Without me, my rulebook is useless. Without my rulebook, I am useless.
Stop looking for buzz words and start reading the whole sentences.

The catachans used to be able to take the sentinel chainsaw. No rules for it now but you never know...

Can't quote this hard enough. Proper spelling and grammar are the name of the game.

Most of those bits are ancillary and just there for decoration.

You have a lot of parts and only one sentinel to make, you can use it to ''personalise'' you army.
A regiment from a jungle world could use a chainsaw.
While a regiment from a hive world wouldn't use a chainsaw.
It doesn't have a function so you it does't matter point-wise.

I am not a 'nid player, and this might have disappeared in the new codex, but isn't there an option to have rippers on the bases of carnifexes and genestealers to represent them having some type of wargear that you can buy?
