Subject: legal counts-as for stormraven?

I kinda want to make a blood angels stormraven list... but i'm not about to spend all that money and time converting stormravens.
is it legal if I just throw a land raider on a flying base, glue a cardboard tube to its back, and call it an engine? would this be a tournament legal (as in 'ardboyz) model?

 After the orbital strikes, Thunderhawk bombardments, Whirlwinds, Vindicators, fusion and starfire and finally Battle Brothers with flamers had finished cleansing the world of all the enemies of Man, we built a monastery in the center of the largest, most radioactive impact crater. We named the planet "Tranquility", for it was very quiet now.

Ask your TO.
As with ANY question about a tournament, the ONLY person that counts is the TO, as they can rule that pink marines are not allowed, or that vendettas cannot be brought along, etc. Their comp, their rules.
99% of the time I find that the rule of cool wins out (so, a LR on a flying base with a cardboard tube engine would nto fit that definition) when it comes to conversions, especially of models that dont currently exist, hoever that is no g'tee of anything.

You have to ask your TO, that is the only way for you to know. Period.

Just use a IG Valkyrie and glue some plasticard on it to make it a little bulkier. Thats what I'm going to do. The thought of a LR on a flying base with a cardboard toilet paper roll on the back sounds kind of dumb to me.

That would be a nogo from me. Same for the guys that are planning on taking a valk and painting it red. Assault vehicle means that the ramp is in the front.

Are you implying that grey knights are getting a Stormraven as well? I doubt that if thats what you're implying. Also, my way could work, just gotta use plasticard to make an access point in the front, or cut the back one off and stick it in the front, blend it in with some plasticard & greenstuff.

The Storm Raven entry mentions that the Grey Knights have made extensive use of it, and a few of the reputable rumor dudes have stated that it's coming with the Grey Knights.
