Hello fellow members of Dakka Dakka,
Im just stopping in to say hey, an that my girlfriend and I recently purchased AoBR and a slew of paints. I used to play while in middle school but from what I remember I was horrible at everything from painting to playing.
So I figured why not try again. I am no great shakes at painting and have been wanting to try a new hobby so I thought why not try out 40K again. Trust me I am quite a rookie at this.
She is painting the Orcs and trying to paint her horde in a glam-rock style. I am going for some kind of offshoot of the "crimson fist's with my Space Marines.
My girlfriend and I happen to live above a tabletop gaming store in Boston(which persuaded us to jump in to this whole project) so we are going to try to get decent at the game and take our armies downstairs and give it a whirl...If we can nail down any skill(wish us luck).
But I thought, hey there must be other gamers out there looking to start painting their own hordes like us, so why not write about my troubleshooting process. So I thought I might start a blog about a complete rookies journey into the world of 40K. So I thought I would look around for a forum that I could participate in and try to expand my knowledge before try to embark on my project.
After looking around online I figured this might be the place to Plant a firm foot and this place looks great!

Yeah I hear you Guild wars has a lot of my hours in it as well. However since moving out of state is has helped me keep up with friends. I'm still on the fence about jumping for GW 2.
