Does anyone out there have any pics of the chapterhouse gas mask heads on cadian bodies, or any ideas as to how compatible they are?

They are intended for Space marines and fit there (see their pic). Have a SM head to check, if it fits Cadians?
Pig Iron, West Wind and Ramshackle all make gas mask heads fitting Cadians.

Well they have time under bits for Imperial Guard also. So assume they're implying they fit thus OP's question.

They are the size of Space Marine heads, I actually got a few in the mail today. On Cadians they would look stupid. It's just an error on the website.

Armies:
(CSM/HH) - Iron Warriors; Death Guard; World Eaters; Night Lords
IG - Vestfalian Expeditionary
Force (Solar Auxilia - HH)
SM - Blades of Inaros (Homebrew)

I have used Maxminis gas masks and they fit nicely in cadian sized models.

Or Pig Irons work is good quality as well for a great price.

Better yet, go for the FW respirator heads. Best, imo.

Except when Forge World's reputation for miscasts bites you in the ass. I mean, don't get me wrong, Forge World is awesome, I order from them frequently, but for converting an entire army to have Gas Mask heads, you're better off taking the cheaper route. You save money that could be put into even more units.

It's like, one unit of guys with the FW head would probably cost you the same as two units of guys with Pig Iron heads.

Yea, but the level of detail in Pig Iron stuff is mediocre. As a Guard player who was hellbent on using Respirators, the only ones I would ever think of buying (still saving up money) are the FW ones. No size issues, no lack of detail.

Also, those head upgrades come with a lot of other useful IG stuff, like backpacks and extra arms and stuff. Also, if FW does miscast, they replace the mess up more often than not, from what I have read here and elsewhere.

If money is an issue, go for Pig Iron. Otherwise, go for the gold. My philosophy is that, if you are spending a fortune on the hobby, why stop short of the best stuff? Go big or go home, basically.

The Third Reich gas mask are all pretty cool... but if detail is first priority, yeah definitely FW.

That's what i thought.
The foreworld bits, while nice, just aren't the style I'm looking for so I'll probably go for some of the maxmini bits.

Personally, I'm really unimpressed with the FW cadian upgrade kit.

The fit of the heads is poor - all needed modifying at the neck to fit.
You only get eight normal heads so you have to use the helmet-less head and the head with hat or buy extra.
All of the arms included have a wierd shaped shoulderpad that doesn't match the cadian shoulder pad.
Shaping on some of the arms is wierd, kinda blobby and lacking any well defined creases in the fabric.
The knives and extra lasgun chargepacks are nice but you only get five.

I love the respirator heads (but would love them more if they fitted) and backpacks but at 142% of the cost of the squad they're just way too expensive. (if there were ten normal heads in there I might use them but having to buy five packs for four squads is just making it even worse)

Here we go, one of the heads on a marine I'm making at the moment. They are the exact size of regular SM heads with the same neck.

Armies:
(CSM/HH) - Iron Warriors; Death Guard; World Eaters; Night Lords
IG - Vestfalian Expeditionary
Force (Solar Auxilia - HH)
SM - Blades of Inaros (Homebrew)
DE - Kabal of Ouroboros
