I'm a new player with the Imperial guard. I've been looking for information on super heavy formations, found most of it. The question I would like to ask is am I able to switch tanks in formations. Specifically, can I use a Stormlord in the Domination formation? the only formations I have found are the Steel Furry, and Domination. With all the variable super heavy tanks available it would make sense that you could switch out tanks in the formation to suit your list. But I am not an expert by far so I would respectfully like your opinion.

Thanks

North

If you're playing the formation as printed, you have to use the units listed.

Apocalypse does however give you the option of designing your own datasheets... which would allow you to take existing formations and alter them to suit yourself, with your opponent's or the game judge's approval.
