Hey everyone,
so ive been toying with the idea of a new space marine army but wanted my own feel to it,
so far i've decided that the chapter will have Rogal Dorn's gene seed and so will be a sucsessor of the Imperial fists, although will not display any of the iconography from there former legion, due to the chapter working in a different way, the colour scheme is also completely different and is going to be a challenge to get right, but there will be more posts in the future featuring that.

So far for the army i have decided that im going to be in keeping with the stubborn mentality associated with rogal dorn aswell as the focus on superior boltgun training, so ill be having fun making some sternguard for this army later on.

any way for now i had a box of sanguinary guard to play about with and as i had no desire to do a blood angels for now i decided to turn them into honour guard to support my 2008 gamesday chapter master.

so i took to the bits box to see if i had any parts to tone down the blood angels look that the sanguinary guard have, and it turned out i diddnt need to do much! once the blood drops had been slice/filled and clipped away the models start to lose that blood angels feeling to them. Plus the great thing about this is due to the sanguinary guards armour being all personalised and addorned with purity seals and other medals etc it will be a great representation of artificer armour instead of just standard power armour.

The unit still has a bit of work to be done im currently trying to decide weather to attempt to model auxillary grenade launchers on to them or to just pay the points and inform my oppenants that they are equipped with them.
And im also waiting for my standard from the command squad box to arrive so that i can make the chapter banner bearer, so there should be a few more pics up by the end of the week hopefully
