Now that I've go most of the core models I need for the core of the army I am planning the army list for my NG army. Here's the list so far:

Lords
Night goblin warboss
Light armour
shield
Martog's best basha
Bigeds kickin boots
Triksy trinket
Warboss Umm's best at

Heroes

Night Goblin big boss
light armour
Battle standard bearer
Rowdy grott's big red raggedy banner

Night goblin shaman
lvl 2
Staff of sneaky stealin

Night goblin shaman
lvl 2
2 dispell scrolls

Core
39 Night goblins
Full CMD
Spears
Nets
2 fanatics

20 Night goblins

Special
2 spear chukkas

5 Squig hoppers

1 spear chukka

Rare
Giant

Giant

TOTAL 1975

I am planning on using the Spear chukkas to kill any monsters or soften up tough units. Giants on each flank, Squig hoppers go up one side. The big NG units will stay in the centre and tarpit units while the smaller units come in and go for flanks.

I know this is never going to be a competitive army and it's build just for fun games but I wondered what other people though of it before I go and buy the models.

IMO not enough squigs in the hopper unit, id try to max them out if possible aswell get a 4th chukka and perhaps take skarsmik or w.e his name is, and get 3 fanatics in each unit as well as nets. you also lack fast cav i know its supposed to be a NG list but a unit or 2 of 5-6 wol riders or spider riders never hurt

Well they are all good suggestions. I have been trying to add more spear chukkas, squig hoppers and fanatics but I don't know what to drop to get the points. I have gone over it a couple of times and I can't find anything that can be trimmed down. I have a few spider rider conversions planned but I don't know how to fit them in.

I don't want to use skarsnik just because I don't like using special characters.

Take a black orc big boss on boar (cheaper than a warboss) and you suddenly have 1 unit that will not stand around twiddling its thumbs at important moments of the battle.
Put the mages in there as well and you will be able to cast spells every turn.

Animosity cripples O&G, reduce it as much as you can.
Also Ld 8 is much, much more preferable to Ld7.

I know this will loose most games but I am going to keep the list themed around NGs so I can use any Night goblin units and some normal goblin units depending on whether they fit the theme. I know this will make it very difficult to win but I am going to try and build the best list with what i've got to choose from.

The changes I want to make are:
Making the squig hopper unit up to 10 models
Adding in a few units of snotlings (mainly to include some ITP units so I can space out my NGs)
Include 4 spear chukkas

I don't know which are the priorities, I guess hoppers and spear chukkas come before snotlings but they seem about equal for me.
Problem is I don't know what to loose to gain points. I am considering getting rid of one of my units of 20NG this would let me include another spear chukka and use 10 hoppers but would leave me with a worryingly low number of NG for a horde army.

Ok well I've been trying to get some more points as well as comparing the list to 8th edition rumours (as I am just starting to play and there is no point learning a just before new rules) and I have come up with a new list.

By cutting down on the gear of 1 shaman (something I had to do to fit in with the percentage limit) I have managed to add more Spear chukkas and hoppers.
Is this list any better?

Sorry I have no suggestions. I like the list and was thinking about putting together my own NG list, but am trying to convince myself to finish an army first before starting another. I was going to start my NG off with the BfSP set and filling in with fanatics and hoppers for smaller point games. I was also going to add spear chukkas, doom divers, and a giant. Maybe even rock lobbas and another BfSP goblin force.

I guess what I would add is spider riders and maybe change a 20 man unit into archers, if I were going to suggest something.

I enjoy spider riders. They are good for flank attacks, and to protect your flanks.

You'll be surprised at how terribly awesome your squig hoppers will do, or how terribly terrible the will do.

My favorite unit by far, and they look AWESOME!

Yeah I think when I increase the list to 3000 points I may convert up some spider riders that I have.

When the new book comes out I may changesome NG units to bows as I have models, it depends on the new rules.

I agree with you on squig hoppers, they have good stats for a low cost, but there is a chance that they will just not get anywhere.
