I was wondering where you measure from when exiting a land raider.
Do you measure from where the door hits the ground?
Do you measure from where the hatch used to be?

Can the models exiting the LR be on the hatch or do you even have to open it?

You measure from the hatch.
I think he knows that its from the hatch. The question is, is from the hatch with it down touching the ground (which would add less then an inch to work with) or from the hatch when it is fully closed?
I would say with it open, since they need to open it to get out anyways . I conclude this by comparing it Drop pods. You base it on the hatch flaps down, not up, when deploying. If this is an incorrect assumption, please correct me.

Remember if you choose this interpretation then have the doors moveable makes a difference to effectiveness whilst it makes Drop pods rediculously good.
Do you really play that the doors on the DP count? In that case models can't be place ON the doors this both includes the original models exiting (which can now exit about 7" in any direction from the original DS point, giviong a total circle diameter of 14" which is ludicrous), and any other models mena you can block of 12" circles of enemy movement with Drop pods. Basically meaning up against Greentide or Nid swarm 3 Drop pods auto-wins you the game as you can block of half the board width with those forcing them to go all the way round.

I guess my question should have been, "Are you suppose to count the (movable)Door for the purpose of measuring on disembarking"

No.
Check the rulebook example diagram for access points. You measure from the actual hatch on the side of the vehicle. The doors are ignored. There is no requirement to be able to physically open them.

What about the "front" of the Landraider?

No distinction is made for any specific access point. You measure from the hatchway in the hull.
