Did something different with the 'lord of death', the BA's master psyker getting a mix of red and blue instead of the official
everything-in-red paintscheme.

What do you think?

And a 'traditional' corbulo :

Just before you cry "simpsons": I am sorry the camera's machine spirit had somehow decided to make their faces yellow
( believe me, they are bronzed flesh, please ), maybe I didn't use the correct prayers....

Looks good, you may want to give that gold a wash of brown, maybe a dark brown and then a light brown. Like delvan mud, then Ogryn flesh if you have it. Otherwise water down some scorched brown, REALLY water it down and wash over it.

Aside from needing a wash, both models look like the paint was applied very well! I just can't say that I like the coloration, having been a BA player too long to like anything but red on Mephiston.

Corbolo looks bang on, just in need of a few select washes! I suggest Devlan mud for the red and golds, as it will bring out the richness, and ogryn flesh for the face.

The white definitely needs something, it's a bit garish at the moment. Some tint or deeper shadowing.

I think the white could use some sharp highlights, just on the edges. Use white right out of the pot and just paint the edges and you have a great shaded color underneath already. That would be the easiest route. If you washed that or tried to start over it may be a hassle.

I think the red on Corbulo looks a bit flat, as does the white.

Otherwise, very nice. I like how for once, Mephiston doesn't look like a strawhaired farmboy.

I see , there is still some work.
Not a surprise, but I do appreciate your comments.

Corbulo is nearly "unwashed" or in better words, clean and has only received a bit of a red wash. I'll do the highlights/shadows
at him next, his backpack isn't ready yet and I imagine him somehow cleaner than other space marines as he's a Apothecary.
Was willingly placed along Mephiston, to provide something to compare.

Meph, may look nicer in real life. Lost a bit depth in the pics.
Could I get away with a partially blue Mephiston if I paint his backpack red?

Thanks again and I'll attempt to "wash" more depth in.
