Implacable Black Templar Initiate

"I know as for flavor marines fighting marines suuuuckks, but giving our limitied army range it happens more than wanted"
A Distressed Black Templar Crusade ," Templars Blood", made rapid movements toward the Ultramarine planet Tarentus in attempt to repair and regroup from a prior chaos attack. Unfortunatly during the Chaos engagement the Templar communications were damaged and disabled. Sensing the work of Chaos the Ultramarine Chapter Master Marneus Calgar dispatch a mobile attack force to exterminate the assumed corrupt Astartes. Among the force are famous heros of the Ultra marines. Brother Sergeant Torias Telion and his battle tested scout squad was ordered to push foward and infiltrate the battlefield for strategic intel. Antaro Chronus was tasked to command the mighty Land Raider, "Maximus." Calgar himself decided to grace the battlefield with his presence.
The Distressed Templars landed on the outskirts of a small farming town dominated by two Imperial Bunkers. Unaware of their location they garrison and fortify the small town. With repairs on communications underway the town was left lightly gaurded while the remander of the templar force remained at the landing site.
The Sound of tank treads on gravel roads filled the air. The horizan is broken by the shapes of armour and infantry. Fearing a Chaos counter attack, the Black Templar force Marshall Rig Jeranus rushes to the frontline in his Rhino APC. Jeranus, fearing the worst in the face of this massive force, gives the order to open fire. Combat Sqaud "Lerra" fires its plasma cannon from the saftey of their bunker into the oncoming armour but with no effect. As enemy Skimmers crest the now chaotic horizon combat sqaud "Orion" engages with a shoulder fired missle launcher, the projectile streaked through the air and struck the skimmer square. The flaming remains rained down in front of their occupied bunker.
Upon taking fire from the assumed corrupt Templar Crusade, Calgar gives the green light for the cleansing of the Astartes. Tanks and Infantry alike mobilize and gain ground on the small town. Land Speeder squadron "Reaper" return fire on the bunkered marines with their deadly assault cannons. Concrete and flesh fly as one of the hidden Astartes is nearly ripped in half. As "Reaper" disengaged, mighty dreadnought "Kraken" lets fly an anti personel missle. The marines inside the bunker take cover as the missle strikes, and all survive the shot. The sky burns with the arc of lascannons, fired by the Land Raider Maximus. The shots streak across the air and glance Marshall Jeranus's rhino, leaving the transport immobilized and him and its crew stunned. As the heavy weapons soften the enemy encampment, Sergeant Telion and his scouts are observing the bunkers through their weapon scopes. One scout focuses on the window of the fortified building, a small enough flash of light grants the scout a confident shot, as he dispatches a marine inside. Following lead a scout with a heavy bolter tears into the bunker, killing two more templar marines. Seeing his brothers preform so well Telion fires one shot into the bunker, killing the lone surviving astartes. Screaming up the right flank the attack bike squadron "Talon" sights in on the immobilizied Rhino. Streams of melta flow toward the ACP, but don't find their mark.
As the first shots rang out, Marshall Jeranus called for reenforcments, the battle worn dreadnought "Shadow" strides into strategic shooting position. In the distance the Chaplain "Viper Corunus" and his brother assault marines rain down behind enemy lines. Finally coming to his senses, Jeranus fires his Rhinos smoke launchers hoping for a window of time to regain control. The Combat squad "Orion" vow to avenge their fallen brothers, and let fly a missle at the enemy assault units in route to their bunker. The missle goes wide and is easily avoided. A fellow brother aims his plasma gun and fills the air with super heated death for one unlucky assault marine. Finally in position "Shadow" unloads his arsenal of autocannons into the enemy skimmers, his shots land clean destroying another of the speeders. As his feet touch earth Chaplain "Viper Corunus" and his fellow assault marines quickly discover the hidden scouts or Telion. They train their pistols and eliminate two of the pesky snipers.
Taking casualties the Ultramarine assault squad "helios" accelerate their advance on the enemy controlled bunker, as "Maximus" speeds foward to deliver Calgar and his honor gaurd to the frontline. The Black Templar Chaplain temporarily off gaurd, by the located scouts, is targeted by dreadnought "Kraken". His lascannons burn through the air, disentegrating the Chaplains head. In the panic of being discovered the scouts of Telion return fire on the assault marines, only the heavy bolter takes claim to two enemy assault marines. As the assault sqaud "Helios" crests the enbankment in front of the bunker they are met with a flurry of weapon shots, plasma and bolts fill the small space between forces. The smell of plasma burnt flesh fills the air, caused by a kill shot on one of the assault marines as well as the marine how fired the shot. In the chaos one more brother assault marine falls, but it is time for revenge. As the assault marines break forth into the bunker they make easy work of the remain Black Templar squad.
Arriving in time to witness the slaughter of Combat squad "Orion", the Veterans of Crusade Templars Blood arrive in their trusty Land Raider. Moving toward the vunerable scouts the assault marines of the now dead Viper Corunus open fire with their pistols. Laying waste to another of the enemy snipers. Marshall Jeranus and his command squad disembark their Rhino, and engage the enemy attack bikes with their plasma weapons. The order is given and the Black Templar veterans disembark their land raider transport, shortly before its lascannons tear through the Ultramarine land raider "Maximus". As if rallied by the emperor himself, Marshall Jeranus and his comand squad, as well as Viper Corunus assault marines, charge into close combat. In all the bloody furry the casualties are large for the Ultramarines, losing attack bike squadron talon and five of the enemy scouts.
Clearly underestimating his enemy, Calgar calls down the heavens on his foe. His orbital bombardment thrashes earth and warrior alike, leaving five of the enemy veterans dead. Recovering from the explosion Antaro Chronus fires blindly toward the enemy. The Sole remaining Land speeder opens up with its assault cannon once more, killing yet another veteran. The dreadnought "Kraken" now takes aim at the enemy land raider. His shot is feirce but only glances the mighty tank. Out of pure confusion Chronus charges the badly wounded veterans. His plan is short lived as he is quickly dispatched by the experience close combat veterans. In a final stand the scouts of Telion strike out against the enemy assault marines. Killing one, before being exterminated.
Charging to aid their brothers, the assault marines of Viper Corunus close on the now empty bunker. Almost by pure fate Marshall Jeranus's Rhino begins to move. In pure blood rage, the remaining veterans advance on Calgar and his honor gaurd. Suffering an imobilizing hit, the dreadnought "Shadow" fires a salvo of autocannon shots into the enemy leaders position with little effect. The fate of the battle rests in the hands of a few veterans as they charge the mighty warlord of the Ultramarines. They train their bolt pistols and dispatch two of the Chapter Masters honor gaurd. As blade meets blade, the mighty Calgar is seriously wounded. Taking priority the remaining honor gaurd fight off the assault long enough to evacuate their wounded hero. He may have the taste of defeat in his mouth but will live to fight another day.
Facing defeat the remain Ultramarines strategicaly retreat, in a sad day where brother fought brother. The distressed Templar crusade regained communications, and payed tribute to the wounded war lord. Marshall Jeranus expressed, " From all this death, the fuel to seek out and destroy the forces of Chaos are amplified. The confusion of battle has claimed many a brave man today, let not their forfieted lives be in vien."
