I am planning an apocalypse game with my friends soon and its our first apocalypse. We are still not sure about certain things and cant find the answers.
The first question being:
If the Defence Laser goes into the Orbital Cannon mode, and the enemy has multiple of the same asset(like Orbital Bombardment), does it prevent the player from using ANY of their remaining assets of the same type if the Defence Laser scores a hit?

You can't have more than one of each asset. (It even says you can't have two Orbital Bombardments specifically as an example... )

It says you can't pick more than one of an asset, but if a formation or unit gives you one, you can have multiple of it. Page 186 paragraph 5

So it does. My bad.

It's not really clear (probably because they didn't really factor multiple assets in when they wrote the rules) ... Personally, I would go with it only affecting the specific Bombardment being used... so you would need multiple shots to neutralise multiple Bombardments.

As is often the case with Apoc, there's no clear RAW.

You can make a good case either way:
All the bombardments are coming from a single cruiser so it only takes one defense laser to shut it down.
Multiple bombardments means multiple warships so the laser shuts down only one.

I would lean towards the latter but you could go either way.

Thanks, also, is it right to assume that the orbital cannon can only take out 1 asset per turn, or can it try and take out multiple assets each turn?

The Orbital Cannon rules don't specifically restrict it to once per turn... they simply say that you can use it when your opponent uses one of the listed assets.

But the fact that you have to forgo your regular shooting in order to use the Orbital Cannon ability does suggest that it's supposed to be once per turn. So that's how I'd play it.

Is there any rule already in place about Titans or gargantuan creatures walking up a ledge. For example, in the table set up we're going to use it has a 5 inch cliff at one point. Can a Titan step up or down from the cliff?

The terrain is only classifed as normal, difficult, dangerous and Impassable, or some combinations.

If you decide to make the 5" ledge Impassable to normal creatures you could make it Difficult / Dangerous (etc) for Gargantuan / SuperHeavy walkers, for example.
