The run down: I am building a 1500pt elfzilla list for a tournament; I had previously presented a series of potential lists. After narrowing it down I am now looking for further advice on how to tool the specific units. Please see below.

I like the 1st list for pure fluff reasons - never seen anyone put over 700 points into 2 troop choices! Using Doom in the list is not much use becaue virtually the whole list is gonna be wounding on two - maybe guide or even drop the 2nd power and just get more Locks. Dunno how many points you got left but I'd give the locks attatched to the guards spears (which can hit similar targets to the wraithcannons). As for powers I'd take destructor templates on as many as possible plus Embolden (which is fantastic for only 5 points) and Enhance for extra CC.

I also like the fist list for the efficiency (how long can a turn possibly take with only 30 models on the table?);
I see your point about doom!
I was thinking that it probably isn't worthwhile giving the spiritseers singing spears, because the unit isn't really lacking in high strength low AP short range attacks, whereas they are lacking in any cc ability (IE witchblade attacks). But really it's a question of points availability as the SS is hopefully going to be doing some damage in combat- if the points are left over I would probably give them the upgrade.
Then again- I have absolutely no experience with wraithguard...

I'm debating embolden- it is possible I will play the council, with the avatar and the two WL, in a "mega deathstar" type unit, potentially negating the need for embolden. How would you play this list?

Well, the idea to take 2 full WG units (incl. Spiritseer with conceal) and 3 WL's is fine.
However, the WL's should be outfitted for long-range fire support (bright lances and eml's).
Moreover, I'd take a Farseer able to fortune the WG if necessary.
Finally, I'd consider a Harlie unit for counter-strike.

Lanchester's square law - please obey in list building!

Illumini: "And thank you for not finishing your post with a "" I'm sorry, but after 7200 's that has to be the most annoying sign-off ever."

Armies: Eldar, Necrons, Blood Angels, Grey Knights; World Eaters (30k); Bloodbound; Cryx, Circle, Cyriss

I was wondering about the Wl's - I'm more worried about hordes; as the list is completely vulnerable to tarpitting-- ?

-edit- sorry about the spelling! I was speed typing at work (I should have previewed). -edit-

Automatically Appended Next Post:
Okay; I'm a little bit restricted now by money, so I have narrowed down the list to a fairly "un-optimized" (vanilla) list:

HQ
Avatar (155)

Seer Council (~250)

TROOPS
10 Wraithguard (396)
-Spiritseer, conceal, witch blade

10 Wraithguard (396)
-Spiritseer, conceal, witch blade

HEAVY SUPPORT
Wraithlord (150)
-Bright Lance, flamers, Scatter Laser

Wraithlord (155)
-Bright Lance, flamers, EML

So the questions here are:

-How would you load the two wraithlords?
-How would you load the Seer council (considering the points restriction)?
-Would I be better off removing the seer council in favour of a farseer + extra wraithlord?

Not a fan, your not taking on the strengths of the Avatar and with 2 troop choices your going to have a really rough time with objective based missions. If you wanna try Eldarzilla try:

Avatar
Eldrad

5x 10 Defender Guardians w/ Scatter Laser + Warlock (4 with Conceal and 1 with Embolden for Eldrad)

3x Wraithlords with Eldar Missile Launcher and Bright Lance

Walk the Guardians with one model in Avatar's Fearless bubble and fire scatters for anti-infantry. Keep the Wraithlords near a Warlock and fire anti-tank. Eldrad keeps fortune up on the Avatar then guides/fortunes/mindwars where needed.
