It might not be the right spot to post this, but fantasy Flight have announced "Space Hulk" Card game for this summer.

It is slated as a 1 to 6 player co op game.

I think the card game looks pretty interesting and fun. I assume you only need the one deck so at least it wouldn't be too expensive. I've never played Space Hulk so this would be the closest I'll get.

It might be a fun way to pass some time.

I'll have to wait until someone who knows what's what in terms of card games gives us a review though!

Notice that the game is for one to six players. I like that you can play this solitaire--not only because I've had to move far away my usual group of fellow gaming geeks (and the soon-to-be Mrs. Manchu doesn't like this sort of thing) but also because it let's me play a few times before trying to introduce and teach someone else.

I like that it's single player so I can pick it up and convince my friend to play with me. The price point doesn't hurt either! I'm so used to spending some pretty serious dough for GW products that a card game will be a relief both in terms of money and in the relative ease of learning the rules (I'm guessing on the last point of course). No need to prime or paint or assemble so it's perfect for when I need a break from the minis.

I wish I would have snapped up a copy of Space Hulk having never played the original. I was a huge fan of Hero Quest which planted the seed for my eventual love of mini gaming (albeit some years later).

Ah..... fell to temptation and have pre-ordered it, least it is not that pricey - Horus Heresy was too much to pay.

Be interesting to see if there will be mini expansions, though as a "FFG Silverline" product that would be unlikely.

Did you preorder through FFG? Any specific release date yet? Also, are any of the other GW license products Silverline?

I went through a UK company Maelstrom Games, who I have used on several occasions before.

The shipping is supposed to be mid August, but I guess that might change, dependent on FFG and how soon stocks arrive from over the pond
