Hey all,
This came up yesterday in a tie game,
My friend who I played against had a 5 man tac squad which fled onto an objective in the last turn, does it count? If it does it would be so cheap that you could run your guys in random directions and jump on objectives for the win!
So how does it work?

nope. If a unit is broken at the end of the game it counts as destroyed and is removed from the table. In class this week, so no book for page number, sorry.

Fleeing units cannot score Objectives.
p90 - As soon as the game ends and before working out victory conditions, all units that are falling back are removed and count as destroyed.

It kinda sucks, I had a massive unit of kroot holding 2 objectives, it had taken zero casualties but failed a morale check from tank shock and fled on the last turn of a recent game.

yeah, once I was facing chaos space marines as imperial guard (I know, right?). I kept him out of assault range for a while, but after I decimated his main troops, I had my mass of guardsmen charge to end the game sooner. After an unusual turn of events, he flanked me, fled after failing morale, then skedaddled to hit my last objective. Having 2 objectives and me only having one, I lost, not being able to flush him out by the next turn. I wished to consult him about what I figured was some sort of misunderstanding, but the tournament was continuing to the next round, giving me a single loss and 4 wins. I got 3rd place, but I could have gotten 1st...

So just to clarify, space marines falling back, even tho they auto regroup, that dosent happen till theyr next turn so they would be destroyed if the game ends

Yes, as they automatically pass the test (if allowed to take it; enemies within 6" would stop this regroup) but only when they can MAKE the test, which is the start of that units movement.
If the game ends before then the unit is dead and gone.

Doesnt ATSKNF mean that they auto rally at the end of the fall back move, as opposed to at the start of the turn? I thought that was how the rule used to work, unsure if its the same in 5th ed dex.

No, it does not. nos spelled it out for you, and that is how it works. In fact, that is how it has worked for years and years.

No, it doesn't. All it does is allow them to Rally in a special way. They still rally at the normal time.
