last night i had the idea of combining sentinel legs with a space marine bike to get the body for sw twc.

this combination would only be the main body of course, but i was wondering if anybody out there had the same idea or even build something similar?

this basic body will need some extra converting to make it look wolfy,
but id like some feedback before spending all that money on sentinels and bikes ^_^

What about using legs from a blood crusher?

id say its easier just to use the blood crusher as a whole, rather than cutting it up.

but id rather buy more canis models and convert them then using blood crushers^^

its basically the same amount of work, but much more fun id say.
as shown in the picture its not to hard to convert the twc anyhow.
some cutting and repositioning and the jobs done ^^

I'd wait to see what the new Bloodcrushers that come out with the Demon second wave look like. Hopefully they'll be plastic and not just another few metal poses.

Sounds an awfully expensive conversion. How about just marines riding mini-sentinels, i.e. remove two of the leg joints (to bring it down to cavalry height)and 'marine'-ise the sentinel somehow, probalby extending the front and back to better match a big wolf's size and shape.

I think it looks awesome.
A great paintjob on those and they will look sweet.
would like to see more pics of them from other views, and some closeups. Look really good imo.

To me it sounds like a lot of work and alot of cash spending. But I think you really dont mind and has a pretty good idea what you want for TWC. So, I say go for it! If you wanted regular wolfs you could just buy those expensive ones they sell online, but like I said, I think you have a clear idea of what you want and dont care about cost, and rather spend some time converting them to make them your own.
One thing I really like with the idea is that it ties them to the cyber wolves. The fiercer and meaner they are, the more cybernetics they have earned/needed, untill they are more machine than wolf indeed.
(personally Im in love with the idea of an Iron Priest riding a great fierce near mechanical beast in the best of steam punkish manner

I was planning on converting bloodcrushers for Thunderwolves for an Egil Ironwolf themed company, that way they would look more mechanical. I love the way Dave Taylor converted the Canis models above, it is the best I've seen so far.
