So, I didn't see anything in the FAQ and I don't feel like sifting through 17 pages of Wolf Guard Q&A to see if this has been answered. I feel like I know the answer and I'll give precedence, but I needed to ask anyway.

Can a Wolf Guard unit with 5 Wolf Guard Terminators + Logan be dropped in a drop pod? Here is the scenario: I take 5 WG terminators, purchase a Cyclone or Assault cannon, split off one of the regular WG to be a Pack Leader, join Logan and pod the 4 + Logan into the fray? And, for that matter, could I buy 10 Wolf Guard Terminators, buy two assault cannons and split off 6 Wolf Guard as Pack Leaders to Grey Hunter/Blood Claw units?

The precedence which leads me to believe you can is here:

Q. Can a Wolf Scout Pack with a Wolf Guard
Pack Leader assigned to it deploy as Infiltrators,
make a move before the game begins because of
its Scouts ability, choose to outflank or use
Behind Enemy Lines?

A. Yes, to all of the above, because the Wolf Guard
Pack Leader is not an Independent Character and
therefore the fact he does not have the Infiltrate
or Scouts ability does not preclude the squad he
has joined from using those abilities.

Now, how this pertains to my question is that it shows that WG Pack Leaders are split off and assigned before anything happens - including deployment. If the Pack Leader couldn't be split off until deployment, then it couldn't "deploy as infiltrators", "make a move before the game begins", etc., etc. Now, this leads me to believe that, since the Wolf Guard pack leaders are split off just before deployment (or even during deployment), that once I've deployed the unit with the WG pack leader assigned, Logan and his unit are free to deploy in their pod.

In my mind, the sequence of events:

5 Wolf Guard, 1 w/assault cannon with a Drop Pod
Logan Grimnar

---Deployment Begins---

I assign one of the WG to a Blood Claw pack and Deploy them in their Land Raider Crusader
I deploy the rest of my forces

I decide to place Logan and his unit of Wolf Guard in reserve, attached and in the Drop pod.

Legal?

yes, and yes.

You Split off the wolfguard, attach Grimnar and put the squad(plus Grimnar) in their drop pod.

This is my Rulebook. There are many Like it, but this one is mine. Without me, my rulebook is useless. Without my rulebook, I am useless.
Stop looking for buzz words and start reading the whole sentences.

Deciding who is in the drop pod is when you declare reserves, whcih is any point in the deployment phase - so you can deploy models, including the unattached wolf guard, first and THEN declare that the drop pod will be filled with the termis plus Logan.
