Privateer had a strategy guide for Monsterpocalypse where one of the factions are basically monster summoning eco-terrorists.

So their products and shipments are now probably on some sort of watch list.

Customs likes to hold up gaming materials for some reason, Battlefront has had this issue with a couple of Flames of War books

Because, every so often, they find these things are mismarked. My copy of IA4 had that issue, and I had to spend five or six days in a spat with Customs and the USPS about it.

Pandemic expansion awhile back got held up at customs too.

Customs has held many different gaming companies products...some of which (I know) were not "mislabeled".

I think some of the "customs" gang are gamers....and they are looking for "sneak-peeks". ;-)

Maybe it IS a conspiracy, since every single product PP doesn't manufacture in-house is being delayed. Or maybe the guy in charge of outsourcing quit and they forgot to hire a replacement, like it happened with the web admin.

The customs concerns has only happened twice.

I understand that books tend to get delayed at customs because drug smugglers will smuggle tiny packets of drugs between the pages of books sometimes.

I knew this game was like crack... but damn!

@jp400 - its better. At one point someone at a company was taking stock, and trading it to drug dealers in a certain American city. They were then selling the drugs for cash. Seems, they had gotten the drug dealers "hooked" on Warhammer.... And they started their own triangle trade.

@themocaw - true, and maybe we just notice it more because in the end, the gaming companies don't put as much lead time into things as maybe a large publisher (the lead in time for the John Grisham book may be long enough that even if this happened, we'd never know.)

Or they just wanted the rules for themselves....;-)
