Hello all,
I have been lurking around here for the past 3 years, Since I first started playing Warhammer 40k. I had played many other war games in the past so I have had experience playing a lot of different systems. I think I have picked up the game pretty quickly, but more than that I have just become absorbed by it. The lore and setting are just so damn good. Some of the models I have seen here and elsewhere are awe-inspiring, Some of the Terran I have had the privilege to play on at tournaments has been amazing.

I am an ammature painter by far, but I have a few things I would like to show and get some feedback on. I need some help in shading and making stuff look older. Most of my things come out good, But very new looking. So any advice in the future would be great.

I am playing Space marines, Guard, Necrons, And am building a tyrannid army now. So I naturaly have been combing over rules help on this site and have found it to be a great help in my games. So thanks to the guys who spend so much time arguing the smallest points of logic on things.

Bah, ANOTHER Space marine addict....

Hey now, They were my first. I was told they were a good starter army that was forgiving with a wide range of models. They were right. So I stuck with them, I have won 1st place in 10 or 12 tournaments over the past 3 years so I lavish a lot of attention on them. They have really been a good army to learn the ropes as they have a bit of every play-style. Next I went evil with the Nasty Necrons of doom. Then I went all tread-head with guard and finally a horde army of nids.

So I am not JUST a space marine addict, I play all of them regularly both for fun and in tourneys. But my first love with all-ways be Space Marines, After all, What is more Iconic and Awe-inspiring than a force that drops from space on jets of flame to kick your ass? And dont even get me started on how cool a Chain-sword is, Really, A Sword that is a CHAINSAW. Who could resist?

Anyway. Yeah I like to think I am just a 40k Addict in general, Because with infinite fundage I would play them ALL lol.

Thanks much, I spent along time trying to get the paint scheme right. His first battle I dropped him in and he took out 3 basilisks and a russ before he went down, So I think he will do nicely. : }

Thanks Gorskar, Ive got to get some more pics up, Id like to get some more opinions on these things. I take pride in fielding armies that are fulling painted, even if they are only basic.

Yeah Gonads, I feel if I dont have anything worth saying or posting its best to just lurk in the shadows. Hell Ive read hundreds of post on rules and every time I think of something constructive to add someone says it a few lines down so I stay may hand lol. But Ive been doing alot of hard core painting recently and really want some feedback on what I can do to better my craft.

And thanks again for the welcome and to all for putting together such a great site, Its been SO helpful to me. Getting started in this game wasnt easy but this site and all my friends around here have made it allot more accessible.

They really should just put this sites address in the introduction in the 6th edition of 40k. lol
