So this list got me 2nd place (300 Victory points shy of a tie with 1st) in the preliminaries. But I think there needs to be some changes. I'm looking for advice that does not dramatically alter the actual nature of this lists playing style. Thanks!

The problem I had in my ba army was not enough transport cracking. I do not think you have enough antitank with range longer than 12"

If you miss or roll bad on the chart your assault squads get assaulted and they are way less effective.

Maybe get a rifleman dread or some devastators in the list to pop armour

I understand the pod and honor guard should get a raider or heavy tank squadron, I still prefer to have more longer range Anti tank.

But after all that is just me. Good luck at the semi's

Thanks.

Yeah I was actually considering dropping some things to take a Storm Raven with T/L LC, and a Sternguard Unit in a pod.

I agree with those statements. a devastator squad with 4 missile launchers is always a great bonus for both armour and some more anti horde as well

Dark Angels 12,000 Points
Nurgle 2,000 Points
Imperial Guard 10,000 Points
Daemon Hunters 2,000 Points
Tau 2,500 points
Dark Eldar 2,000 points
Eldar 1,000 Points

Why do you have a chapter banner in a squad poorly suited for assault?

The Baal preds are nice for scout, but I'd rather have Preds with ac/las cannon for transport cracking. And I also don't see much value to the death company; they're too points heavy and too easy to lead astray. TH/SS terminators have higher survivability, a similar points burden, and can wail on anything.

I also think you have one Sang priest too many.

I flirted with 6 man, three missile dev squads, as they're cheap, they seem like less of a threat, and they're easy to put in a location that allows for cover saves, etc.

This new list plays completely different, which I'm not to fond of at all. There is a butt load of anti-tank in this list, but it reminds me to much of a Land Raider heavy list. I think Death Co. are perfectly priced for what they are capable of. I've played them long enough to keep them from raging on the wrong thing. So I will never loose that squad. Plus I get the bonus of having two elite type units, count as Troops.

HQ (145): Librarian – Terminator, Storm Shield – Might of Heroes, Blood Lance
Elite2 (225): 5x Assault Terminators - TH/SS
Elites3 (125): Furioso Dreadnought
Heavy1 (200): Stormraven - T/L LC, T/L MM

Troops5 (260): 10xDeath Co. – TH, 2xInfernous Pistol
Troops6 (140): Death Co. Dreadnought – Blood Talons, Magna Grapple
Heavy2 (200): Stormraven - T/L LC, T/L MM

Troops1 (235): 10x Assault Squad – PF, 2xMeltagun
Elites(1) (75): Sanguinary Priest - JP

Troops2 (235): 10x Assault Squad – PF, 2xMeltagun

Troops3 (130): 5x Assault Squad – PF, Flamer
Elites(1) (55): Sanguinary Priest - Melta Bomb.
Transport (55): Razorback - T/L LC

Troops4 (135): 5x Assault Squad – PF, Meltagun
Transport (55): Razorback - T/L LC

Fast1 (115): Baal Predator – Flamestorm

Fast2 (115): Baal Predator – T/L AC

That list looks solid my one critique is that the assault squads in razorbacks dont have a sang priest my have them take one from the jump squads then they share one? I don't know how you're using them so I could be dead wrong.

P.S. i love you're siggy

That's a really good idea. It also frees up points to put Power Fists back into the 2 squads.

Edited list 2.

I think that's a much tighter list. Good luck with it, unless you're playing me.

Storm Raven? Are you allowed to proxy it?

Why wouldn't I? As long as it's made from a GW model, there is no reason I can't.

So what model are you taking?
Valkyrie?

Actually, I was just going to tape a bunch of Land Speeders together... but your idea seems a lot better.
