Am i to understand that because it says Deathwing assault in the DA codex for terminators..they cannot assualt on the first turn unlike other deep striking units?

Is not deathwing assault a Deepstrike?

pg 28, deathwing assault sub heading... "as described in the deep strike scenario special rule". they have the option of deep striking (and arriving on turn 1) even when the mission doesn't allow normal deepstriking.

I am not sure what you are asking but only models with special rules are allowed to assault in the turn they deepstrike(and generally those models are not allowed to shoot or run that turn)

The assault part of deathwing assault is the same as the Drop pod assault; in that you get to take half your units and deepstirke them on turn 1.

Assault in this case does not mean CC; it means a sudden, violent attack

SO DA terminators cannot Assault as in (CC) the turn they arrive because they don't have Deep strike in their unit entry?

In short: It no longer matters whether Deep Strike is in the unit entry or whether it's buried in the unit's wargear.

Yes, the Planetstrike Errata changed it.

If a unit can Deep Stike in a normal game of 40k, no matter hoiw, it benefits from the improved Planetstrike Deep Strike rules.
