Subject: 3 units in a thunderhawk?

Can a thunderhawk carry more than one unit?
For example x3 units of 9 death company and an attached chaplain.
Or do I have to go 27 death coy and 3 attached chaplains.
Up to 30 models fit in a thunderhawk, and can assault the turn they disembark.
Just planning some apoc shenanigans.

As it is a Super heavy Flyer and therefore only used in Apoc games; yes it may carry more than one unit. This is found in the Apoc book under Superheavy transports and also gives you a nice little chart as to what costs how many transport model slots.

True but in the Apoc book page 198, any infantry model on a base that is bigger then 25mm takes up two slots.

Great Thread!! Im in the middle of painting and assembling my TH. Im pondering the same question.
Im considering 3 configurations:
3 Ironclad Dreadnaughts
1 Venerable Dreadnaught with MM, HF and 10 TH/ SS Termies
or 30 Marines. These would consist of 6 independent 5-man combat squads. They would have meltaguns, flamers, power fists and combi-weapons. The other half of each of the squads deploy on the table along with their Razorbacks and heavy weapons

Thunderhawks only carry 30?
Guys, take Stormlords or Gorgons, that's 40 or 50 models instead
In my Stormlord I can fit 5 termies, lord on juggernaught, dread, Kharn the betrayer and more beserkers than you can shake a stick at.

Well, all the Legions had some Thawks during the Heresy, but no there arn't any rules for a Chaos one.
but there is no rule saying they can't take one in a game.
just like there is no rule that my space marines can't take a Stormlord and a Warhound titan.

Yes, but there are no rules limiting you to a single faction.
I could run a Grey knight Terminator force and have every squad have a BA sanguinary priest for a FNP army of Cheeze alongside a dozen warhound titans.
