After annyoing the hell out of him, my friend picked up the Menoth Battlegroup, and we finally played our first game.

Terrain was set, forces were deployed, and with Cryx getting the first turn it was off we go

Deployment

Turn 1

Basic maneuvering, Deneghra casts Ghost Walk on the Defiler, and everybody except her runs up. Kreoss, however, casts Lamentation and moves up.

Turn 2

More maneuvering, a Deathripper tries to get behind enemy lines so Deneghra can cast at Kreoss, but falls short. As the other Cryxian 'jacks get into position, the Revenger charges a Deathripper and knocks out its head. Kreoss Upkeeps Lamentation and moves his group into position.

Turn 3

This turn is where the action skyrockets. Deneghra pops her feat, and the Slayer beats up the Revenger for a good amount of damage. The Defiler also gets a shot at Kreoss, and does about 7 points of damage. However, Kreoss moves into position and prepares his own little tricks popping his feat and his Crusader charges the Slayer, crippling both arms!

Turn 4

Seeing an opportunity, the Deathripper hiding in the back slams the Crusader, knocking him aside. The Slayer then moves and contacts Kreoss, doing minimal damage due to his crippled arm systems. However, the Revenger is reduced to scrap by high-rolls from the damaged Deathripper and Parasite from Deneghra. Kreoss allocates 4 of his focus, using his remaining 3 to try (and fail) to damage the Slayer.

Turn 5

And here's where it all ends. Deneghra goes nuts, allocating a full 3 focus to the crippled Slayer, and manages to barely hit Kreoss with Crippling Grasp. The Slayer hits with his first claw, does little damage, and finally finishes Kreoss off with his tusks, goring the High Exemplar to death.

And that's all folks! Thanks 'fer readin, and stay tuned for rematches and other reports!

Turn 3, when the Slayer beat up the Revenger, did you remember to bounce it back after
the first hit? A charge and a combo strike is all you can really manage before you are
pushed out of melee range. The damage can be pretty substantial, but just checking.

If you crippled the shield on the first swing, then nevermind.

Another question: when Deneghra popped her feat, was Kreoss in range? If his SPD
is debuffed, he wouldn't have been able to charge.

Looking back, it appears my friend forgot to use his open fist/ shield arms. But I did cripple the shield on the first swing, IIRC.

Gah, by charge, I meant that the Crusader had just enough SPD (2, in this case) to get into combat.
