Ok, I'm back with another army list. I want to try something a little different this time, not one packed full with Stegagons and Sarus cold-ones. It went a little something like this...
'K, I was looking through the
gw website again (it get's a little boring) looking for a good army to start, and so i thought to do something fantasy, since my chaos dwarfs army commission (modeling only, and it was done before I knew about Dakka, sorry!) I've been getting a little interested into fantasy. I might still have a few photos, but... anyway, I got interested in the whole lizardmen thing. But as I browsed through byte after byte of internet, most of the armies i found were either three-to-five stegagons or 60-70 sarus warriors, and I just don't have the cash. S I decided to try an all skink army. Like the "similar" army on
gw.com, I'll be using skirmishers alot to whittle the enemy down with poison darts, while using hunting beasts such as salamanders to get rid of stronger opponents. This is how it'll go.
Hero: skink priest, level two, Sacred stegagon helmet: 140pts
Hero: Skink Chief, light armor, shield, staff of the lost sun, bane head: 119 pts
Core: 12 skink skirmishers + brave: 77 pts
Core: 10 skink skirmishers + brave: 71 pts
Core: 10 skink skirmishers + brave: 71 pts
Special: 8 Chameleon skinks: 136 pts
Special: 3 terradon: 150 pts
Rare: 2x salamander hunting pack: 150 pts
Rare: 2x slamander hunting pack: 150 pts
total: 1050 pts
Well, what do you think? It's my first time making a fantasy army list, and I'm planning on using mainly against, Brettonians and high elves. I know high elves use war machines like bolt throwers and the such, so that's why I'm using skirmishers alot. Give them less a chance of hitting.
One more question for all you skilled Old Ones out there: can skink chiefs/priests join skink squads, like commanders in
40k space marine squads? Just want to know.
Automatically Appended Next Post: Oh, and another thing: does anyone know any good ideas for plastic salamander substitutes? I don't know why but I just don't like metal, and I'm too cheap to buy metals anyways.

And for Terradons I was thinking of using winged-skinks for count-as.
