I have decided on my project for the summer which is a heavily converted
CSM army that counts as Blood Angels, they are kind of a time lost chapter that is very brutal in hand to hand but specializes in hit and run Guerrilla tactics.
This is the intended paint scheme for the WRAITH.
I am toying with the idea of two different lists.
List 1:
Astorath the grim 220

Traitor Legion WRAITH fluff
Top secret communications for the Terra high command:
A new traitor legion has been aggressing worlds in the Sol system, they strike without warning and are able to vanish with not so much as a trace, despite our astropaths best efforts and those of an entire company of tech priests cannot unravel the mystery of this legions ability to strike without warning and then vanish into thin air. We have deemed them the WRAITH until they take credit for their misdeeds and reveal their true identities. It is very strange that this new traitor legion takes no credit for their attacks they send no messages neither taunting us nor bragging of their exploits, they simply disappear.
The WRAITH attack in a very uncommon manner for typical traitor legions they have struck several heavily guarded installations and sanctums but they do so without warning or the aid of a fleet. Their Landraiders and other strike craft have been seen to rain from the sky in close proximity to their target and within minutes they can over run the defenses, but once they have secured their target they do not try to hold the target they simply “vanish”… Many relics from the dark age of technology are now missing and we regret to inform you that several god machines are among those relics.
The WRAITH seem to be focusing on store houses that hold ancient and archaic technology some of which the tech priests had abandoned as non functional. What they plan to do with these relics is unknown. I can only imagine the horrors they can unleash if they are able to teleport one of the god machines around at will, this is indeed a dark day for the Imperium. This information is strictly confidential and is for your eyes alone.
The Sol system will be assembling and mobile strike force to deal with this new threat, may the Emperor guide us so that we may met out his justice upon this traitor legion. May the Emperor protect us all.
We engaged the traitor legion earlier today they seemed to know we were looking for them…..
The news that follows is to be strictly confidential, as we do not wish to cause panic amongst the ranks or the general populous.
The WRAITH engaged us with a fleet rivaling the size of a Tyranid hive fleet, there were hundreds of battle barges, cruisers and a myriad of reclaimed space hulks. They leapt out of the warp at us with no warning, we lost most of our strike cruisers and many other crafts. The speed and precision of their attacks is inhuman, no one in the high command has any idea how they are simply able to step out of the warp at will and with no warp anomalies before or after their breech. I have to say my morale is shaken, never have I seen an Imperial fleet stamped out like insects before. The engagement lasted fewer than 40 minutes and they simply slipped back into the warp with no trace.
We found none of their craft, so either they can still jump when damaged or we failed to critically damage any of their fleet…
We have some positive news after today though, we have word that four space Marine Legions are pledging their aid to combat this threat. I have faith the Angels of death will be successful where we have failed. For the Emperor!
It has been two weeks since my last transmission to the high council, we do have news to report however; after several…..failed attempts at engaging the WRAITH the Space Marine legions were successful in taking one of their cruisers, only to find the ship was a ghost ship mostly controlled by some sort of advance AI. There are doubts whether there were any men actually aboard the vessel or if they simply transported off before the ship was completely lost. They found nothing onboard that would allow the vessel to step into the warp at will, though a thorough search is still being conducted.
There is a great deal of talk about the WRAITH amongst them men and I am sorry to say the general morale is dwindling. Many feel like we are fighting a losing battle, how can we win against a foe that can pick when and where to engage us and then simply slip away before we can retaliate. May the Emperor save us from our current tribulations.
