OK, so I've been running Commander Farsight lately and after my latest game wondered if I've been doing a couple of things wrong.

1) Does Farsight get +1A for having two one handed weapons? I've read BRB pg 42 and am wondering if the plasma rifle (in this case the butt of the rifle) counts as one normal weapon + one special weapon (the Dawn Blade). I know under the "normal" weapon definition the first sentence includes "rifle butt", but then it says does not confer any bonus. Just checking on this one, I have only been using his base attack stat.

2) I usually run Farsight (WS 5) , 2 Shas'vre body guard (WS 3), and 2 Shield Drones (WS 2). From BRB pg 37, units assaulted use the majority WS, or use the highest if there's no majority. So when assaulted, do I assume this unit is WS 5? I have been running this as WS 3 when figuring out what my opponent needs when assaulting this unit.

Thanks Gwar in advance (P.S. I like the shark avatar)

No. 'Rifle butts' are defined as close combat weapons... but not as single-handed. You need two single-handed close combat weapons to get the bonus in close combat.

That's correct. There is no clear majority, so you use the highest.

1) No. The Plasma Rifle is not a CCW, so you cannot get the bonus.
2) Yes, you use the highest since there is no Majority.
