I used to watch these but i can remeber the names.
1: was about this guys on a desert planet after a exodus from earth. it centere around guns and a blonde guy killing his genetically engneered brother. i think it is tri-gun or something
2: about this teen recruited by a kid to help with spirits or something like that. he used a technigue called "spirit gun" if i am correct. I think it was called yu yu yakuso or something like that.

1. Indeed its Tri-gun where Vash has multiple encounters partially due to chronically bad luck. It needs more to answer all my questions though. :( Stinkin anime ending leaving me wanting more even thoug it finishes is main story arc.
2. Yuppers, its Yu Yu Hakusho. Great anime and manga. There are 4 seasons and if theres a Hastings in your area you can get it for 25 bucks a season or cheaper if you look around online a bit.
